◇11.SOME NEWS AWAITS◇

I left Ryan without getting any answers from him as soon as I heard the announcement for the surprise test.

Yes , Katherine was right . The test took place after everyone had got the question paper.

After scanning the paper for 5 minutes I realised that there was nothing much to worry about.
The test was not as difficult as Katherine had made it sound with her frightened tone.

I finished the test before time and waited for my friends to come out .
Just then I spotted Ryan coming out of the class .

"So how was the test ? " I asked enthusiastically.

"It was easy I guess ." replied Ryan while playing with the pen in his hand.

"Ah ! And about earlier this morning I had got detention in the store room so yeah ...that was it." He replied staring at the floor now.

"What ? Detention in the store room ? That too before the school starts ? " I asked confused because at my old school we were never sent to the store room.

"Umm ...yeah if you are not as quite as the teacher expects you to be in the detention room then you are sent to the store room ...to..yeah ..clean the dust off the things you know..." he completed after thinking for a while .

"But why in the morning ? ...oh no I got it, my detention is pending too ...if I don't go now ...leave it ..See you later ." I said as I sprinted towards the Detention room.

The teacher sent a glare in my direction and said "If you hadn't come back then I would have ..." before she could complete it by saying that she would have sent me to the store room ,

I interrupted " but I am here now."

I continued staring out of the window as I was not in the mood to open a book now.

As soon as the detention was over , I rushed towards the school gate to meet my friends but ofcourse they must have left earlier as the school was over much before.

I started walking out of the gate.
"Hey wait Rose ! " shouted Aspen .
I turned around as I watched Aspen running towards me .

"Why are you still here ? " I asked as he bent and tied his shoe lace.

" I am here because..." he pointed his thumb to the basketball court . So it was their extra practice session today.

"And why are you here ?" He asked with a raised eyebrow.

" and I was in the detention ." I said as he let out a chuckle.

" I would have loved to watch you play but I am a little tired now. " I stated.

"Tired just by sitting in the classroom ?" He said as we both laughed.

He took my hand and lead me to the court. "Sit with us for ten minutes and you will forget your tiredness. And yeah since you have said that you would love to watch me play ...then I have to start the practice from tomorrow I guess." He said with a wink in my direction .

I laughed but stopped in between. " what do you mean by start from tomorrow ?" I asked confused.

"I am waiting for Ashton here. I don't play the sport." he said .

We approached the court and I spotted Stella and Brady sitting and watching the game.

I wondered why was Brady here . May be he liked watching the game.

I sat beside Stella and we kept telling each other about the whole day we had in the school .

The match ended after some time and Ashton came to us . Stella handed him the water bottle .
