My locker was located by the gym so I could hear the assembly perfectly from where I was standing. I really didn't want to be a part of it so I was scrolling aimlessly through Instagram.

"Kaia!" A familiar voice called my name.

I looked up to see Julie and Flynn heading towards me with my electric guitar in hand.

"Hey, why do you have my guitar?" I asked as she placed it in my hand.

"You're performing the song showed us last night with me." Julie said as she went into the gym.

I rose a brow before quickly following her inside.

Dirty Candy were performing causing me to roll my eyes in annoyance.

"Look who spent all her daddy's money on costumes and Katy Perry's choreographer." I put my guitar strap over my shoulder.

"Well, it paid off." Julie shrugged.

A second later the boys appeared beside us.

"What are you doing here?" Julie asked them.

"We wanna see you stick it to the man. Isn't that right, boys?" Luke asked.

"Man, I miss high school." Reggie said staring at Carrie.

"We don't like her." I snapped my fingers in front of his face.

Dirty Candy finished as everyone cheered.

"Thank you!" Carrie told the crowd.

"We love you, Carrie!" A group of girls exclaimed.

"Oh, I love you too!" She waved to the crowd.

"Make sure to check out my new YouTube video... oh, and go Bobcats!" The girls ran off.

"Thank you, Dirty Candy."

"Now's your chance. Go talk to her." Flynn told Julie who looked frightened.

"See you in music class." She ran off.

"What are you waiting for?" Luke asked Julie but was looking at me.

"Yeah. I mean, you look really nervous. Like yack in a bowl nervous." Alex told her as I slapped his chest.

"I just don't think I had enough time to work on the song." Julie turned to Luke.

"I wouldn't have given you the song if I didn't think you were gonna rock it." I smiled at him.

"Now, there's a piano on that stage with your name on it." Julie still didn't move.

"I'll be with you, this will be the first time in years that I sang in front of a crowd too." I told my cousin.

"OK." Julie nodded as we headed to stage.
