Last hour algebra must have been the most draining hour of my life, who cares what x is ?! As soon as Laila got in i couldnt get the truck to get out of the car park quick enough.

"OMG kim, im so excited, i have a really good feeling about tonight" Laila declared. I must admit her being loud is part of her charm. Laila is only 16 being 2 years below me in school, but she seems like i can always speak to her about anything.

" well i hope your right , you deserve to leave the hell hole and live happy" i spoke sincerely

"Awhhhh" she rapped me in a bear hug "i'd defo miss you though" she whispered.

Two minutes later we were pulling into the drive way, with a rather impatient looking Mrs Layton standing at the top of the stairs.

"Kimberly, could you come to my office and soon as you enter please" Mrs Layton asked " its about tonight " then dissapeared into the house.

"Wonder what thats about? anyway come up to my room when your done we can get ready for tonight" she spoke then flew up the stairs.

"Who knows" i muttered to myself walking down the hall to Mrs Laytons office entering without knocking.

" Miss Paynton must i remind you of you manners?" I shook my head "please take a seat"

"Kimberly,tonight at the party there are going to be a family visiting that have been showing interest in you for a while" hold up,why the hell didnt i know about this , before i could argue Mrs Layton continued

"Mr and Mrs Meyers have read your online letter and really interested in meeting you. If you choose so,they may consider adopting you"

" seriously?" I could see it now some young chirpy couple who were gunna get right on my last nerve.

"Yes, seriously" she said in a exhausted tone "please just give them a chance. Now ho get ready"

As i left the room and headed towards Laila's, all i could think about was who would be crazy enough to adopt me.
