Chapter 3

I stared at the clock, 10 minutes till the families arrived. Why am i so nervous? Its not like they'll choose me anyway. 5 minutes. Urghh ehy is this taking so long, come on kim distract yourself. How many tiles are the wall , anything!the doors to the main hall opened revealing the families as they filtered in.

" Kimberly, i would like you to meet Mr and Mrs Meyers" i looked up to see Mrs Layton sttod infront of me with a couplenwho were absolutally stunning, thats the only way i could describe them. Then my eyes trailed down to a little girl peaking around her mother " and this is Liberty the Meyers youngest child " as Liberty smiled you couldnt help but smile back, she was so cute.

" Hi, im Kimberly" i crouched down and spoke to the little girl.

"I know who you are, silly. Your going to be my new sister" she giggle excitedly before running to give me a hug. I glanced up up to see all the adults grinning down at us.

" Is there anywhere Mrs Layton we could sit down and have a chat with kimberly?" Mr Meyer asked.

"Ofcourse follow me"

"Liberty, would you like a piggy back?" I could remember how i loved piggy back rides when i was younger, so why not try and make Lib happy too.

" YES PLEASE!" She squealled before clambering onto my back.

We giggled all the way to the office and the bond i felt with Liberty was already so strong , wanting the protect her. It was so strange , i dont think i'd be able to let her go. Its so strange but these people remind me of someone but i cant think who. As i sat in the office i was suprized when liberty jumped up into my lap, she was so mesmerizing.

" So Kimberly, my name is Rose and this is my husband Johnathan and obviously you've met our little munchkin there" she said pointing to liberty in my lap "she is so excited finally meeting you. We also have a son , blake , he's just turned 18 only a couple of months older than yourself so you would already know someone at school" she spoke lovingly.

"Wow, i never even thought about it , ive been here so long i kinda gave up hope of actually having anyone paying any interest"

We chatted easily for another half an hour like id known the people my whole life.

" So if we were to ask you would you like us to adopt you , who you be interested?" Rose said.

I thought about it for a moment but i was sure i already knew the answer , it was just overwhelming thinking it could actually happen.

"Yes" i choaked, i couldnt stop the grin that was forming on my face. Mrs Layton entered at that moment to see how we were getting.

"Mrs Layton would there be any chance of us filing all the forms in today, i think we'd all love it if kim would be at home with us this weekend"Johnathan asked confidently, like anyone could actually say no to him.

"I'll see what i can do"
