chapter 19

Kim Pov

The pain was unbearable, like sharp daggers being raked down my back over and over again. My blood was boiling inside my veins and it felt like all my bones were breaking at the same time, healing then breaking again. I let out a high pitched scream that sounded like it echoed throughout the pack house.

"Kim , Kim baby wake up ?" I could hear the deep concern within his voice but the pain just wouldn't stop.

" Cal..eb" I managed to scrape out before another blood curdling scream erupted from my throat.

What the hell, i didnt think it was going to be this bad???

I opened my eyes to see the door fling open to reveal a crushed Embry carrying a writhing Kayla into the room, followed by Alpha Jack and Holly. I could see a few others enter the room but the black spots were obscuring my vision until everthing just went black.

Embry Pov

" Dad what can we do?!" Caleb asked mirroring my distraught expression watching our mates in pain.

"They are going throgh the change...."

"Hold up! I though it was the days following your birthday when the change would happen. It all depends on your wolf " I questioned. I'd never heard of a wolf turning on the night of their 18th birthday.

" Yes and the stronger your wolf is, the earlier you change. I've only ever heard of one other wolf to change on the night of their birthday. His name was Ameris Luther also known as the brother of the oldest werewolf, the same one who created the prophecy of the girls. He was one of the strongest werewolves ever born, he was murdered by his own son. Poisoned with a high dose of wolfsbane."

Everyone was silent in the room, taking in what Alpha Jack had said. How could you kill your own dad that's just sick!

The girls began to still no longer in pain, just figiting until becoming deathly still. If it wasn't for the soft rise all fall in their chests my wolf would have taken over.

It was like there was a mirror between them, If one would twitch so would the other. The whole group stared at them in facination until they began to stir, shooting to seated position before just staring at eachother.

Kayla Pov

The last thing I could remember before I blacked out was staring at a screaming Kim before I finally gave up.

The darkness was fading from my vision so I could see a vast clearing which contain a breathtaking waterfall falling into a shimmering lake, everything was so bright and warm.

I turned to see Kim with the same exoression before she turned and saw me with a gasp.

Were we in heaven?!?

" No, your not in heaven" I turned to see a man chuckling with dark hair and blue eyes. He was massive! must be at least 7ft.

"I didn't realise I'd said that out loud" he nodded my way still chuckling " So mister mysterious who are you?"

"I'm Ameris, my stupid brother is the one who stuck this prophecy on you. And now I'm here to help you" ok now he's got me listening "Firstly Kimberly"

" Between you, you will be able to control the elements. Kimberly you will have control of water and wind. These element compliment your serenity and calmness" Kim looked speechless, and quite frankly so was I.

"Kayla, you will have control of fire and earth. This will compliment your fiery temperament and your edginess. Together as one and only together you will be able to summons the final element spirit. Learn to use your elements and stick together over all else. Together you are strong, Evil is on the horizon and only together will you be able to defeat it"

We were honestly both speechless and my vision was startig to cloud over again.

"it is time for you to both go but remember what I have said. trust your elements"

That was the last thig I heard before I tumbled back into darkness.

The feeling in my body began to return and before I know it I'm sat up staring into the face of a wide eyed Kimberly.

"Wow!" We both breathed at the same time.
