Chapter 18

The night falls...

HoSeok and Jimin were still at the park when his phone started to ring and HoSeok answered it right away.

"Appa? Why are you calling me?", HoSeok asked as he hears his father's voice until he hears his father crying.

"HoSeok ah.. Please help me.. The serial killer kidnapped me! Please save me.", HoSeok stood uo right away and excused himself as he ran to get a cab with him.

NamJoon and Jimin looked at each other as they wondered what happened. "Go to the police station. I'll send you the location as soon as I get to know where HoSeok went.", NamJoon said and Jimin nods.

HoSeok was feeling the rush until he arrives at a old abandoned building while he got out of the cab and ran to the building before climbing the stairs.

"Appa! Where are you?!", HoSeok yelled out loud and he hears a few noises above him which made him ran up to the top level until he got surprised.

"YoonGi?!", HoSeok yelled as he sees YoonGi looking up at him as he was all beaten up while still being tied up.

HoSeok ran to YoonGi's side and wondered what happened while he yelled for his father. YoonGi was trying to same something and HoSeok leans in closer to hear what he was saying.

"I-It's.... a t-trap....", YoonGi said and HoSeok hears footsteps behind him. He turned around and sees someone standing infront of him with a gun in his hand.

"HoSeok ah... You shouldn't have made friends with him.", HoSeok's jaws dropped as he sees his father coming out of the dark while he smirked at him.

"Appa? What the hell?! Why are you doing this to YoonGi?! He's my bestfriend.", HoSeok yelled and his father walks closer to him.

"This is why you shouldn't hang out with him! If it was just YoonGi, I wouldn't have done this.", his father yelled and HoSeok wondered what he meant.

"Your friend, NamJoon! He's not a good guy, HoSeok. He's going to kill us so I'm going to set up a trap for him. I need your help okay! Come on.", Mr Jung said as he takes a big bag with him.

HoSeok shook his head as he stepped backward while YoonGi was slowly getting up. "No! That's my boyfriend, Appa. And I love him! You are not going to take him away from me.", HoSeok yelled and his father smacks him across the face.

HoSeok pushed his father away and soon, they heard footsteps again while HoSeok turned to see NamJoon coming towards them slowly.

"Looks like the plan worked.. I wanted to tell you but you deserve to know the truth, babe.", NamJoon said and Mr Jung takes the knife as he pointed it towards NamJoon.

"Fucking hell! What are you doing here?! Get away from him, HoSeok!", Mr Jung yelled and NamJoon unties the rope on YoonGi before approaching them.

"So you do remember me?", NamJoon asked with a smirk and HoSeok seemed surprised as he wondered how did his father know NamJoon.

"You don't know how long I've been waiting for this fucking moment. Tell HoSeok or I will.", NamJoon said as his smile slowly disappeared.

HoSeok looks at his father and said, "What is NamJoon talking about? Did you meet him before?".

Mr Jung was hesitant to say anything and NamJoon sighed. "We don't need to find the driver who killed JungKook anymore. The answer... is right infront of you.", NamJoon continued and HoSeok's eyes widened as he looks at his father.

"You?! You were the driver that crashed into JungKook's car?!", HoSeok questioned his father and NamJoon continued even more.

"He was drunk.. about something.".

HoSeok was still waiting for his father's answer until he remembered something about that particular night.

"It was the night after mum's funeral. You went out to drink and you came home very late. And the car was dented at the front.", HoSeok said and Mr Jung was already feeling guilty.

"And how about the place HoSeok was working? You and Mr Manager made a deal too, didn't you?", NamJoon asked and HoSeok was starting to realize what is going on.

Mr Jung paid the manager to hire HoSeok so that his secret won't be exposed as the manager was actually Mr Jung's close friend and he knew what happened that night.

"You fucking lied to me!", HoSeok said and he attacks Mr Jung right away but Mr Jung throws his son towards the pillar before punching his face.

NamJoon ran to him and starts beating Mr Jung up while he yelled in his face. "You fucking took JungKook away from me! I'm going to kill you... just like how I killed your fucking friend!", NamJoon yelled and Mr Jung hits NamJoon's head with the brick.

HoSeok grabs his father and throws him to the pillar as he tries to fight him until Mr Jung grabs HoSeok's arm and breaks it before pushing him to the ground.

YoonGi crawls to the corner and tries to find something to hit Mr Jung completely.

"You don't understand, HoSeok! I wasn't going to let a car accident to destroy my life. I lost my wife and now, I'm about to lose my son. This is not the life I want, HoSeok! Your mother was my life and she died too soon. That shouldn't have happened.", Mr Jung said as HoSeok was hissing in pain while NamJoon was slowly getting up.

Mr Jung picks up his gun and pointed at HoSeok who was crawling to the pillar before leaning on it. "If Mum was alive, she would've been disappointed!", HoSeok said and Mr Jung shook his head before he laughed.

"If your mother was alive, she would've stopped you from hanging out with this fucker! How could you turn you back on our family, HoSeok? I did all this because you're my son and I love you!", Mr Jung cried out and HoSeok was still in pain.

NamJoon was on his knees as he sees Mr Jung pointing the gun to HoSeok. "Don't worry, son. I'll ease your pain.", Mr Jung said and he was about to pull the trigger.

YoonGi sees the brick and grabs it as he was waiting for the right moment to throw it to knock the gun off from Mr Jung.

"Mr Jung...". HoSeok looks towards NamJoon who was on his feet.

"You can never take HoSeok away from me.".
