It had been over 11 years since the first incident, Mizuki hadn't stolen a quirk since, but the guilt and fear still consumed her, although she wasn't as affected anymore. The past 11 years had been hell for her, her mother was finally present, but that turned out to be even harsher on her since she wouldn't accept anything other than perfection under physically impossible tasks and tests. But Mizuki wasn't a quitter, and somehow managed to not only survive but beat many odds, which instead of pleasing her mother only caused her to be ever harsher on her.
However, Mizuki had managed to enter a very prestigious Highschool under a recommendation, of course, N.U. High, it was considered one of the best, if not the best, in Japan. Mizuki was thrilled, her dream was finally coming true, but that uneasy feeling didn't leave her alone, it was like a voice, telling her that she was trying to be something she was not.
So when the day finally came, she was nervous, thankfully Shika had also entered the same school, so she wouldn't be alone, but meeting new people was always hard on her, she was shy and very self-aware so she'd always feel out of place and awkward around new people. But she quickly shook her worries away, trying her best not to stand out in the crowd of students as she entered, failing miserably since she wasn't at the admission tests and her mother was the number one hero, she could see people staring and gossiping around, a dangerously dark aura started to appear around her
'calm yourself Yang...' she thought to herself, communicating with the fox spirit within her from her quirk.
But before she could even think properly, she heard a "little" scream and saw her best friend running towards her, with her short pink hair going everywhere
"MIZUKIIIIIIIIII I MISSED YOUUUU" the enthusiastic girl screamed as she jumped on her best friend, making both of them fall down
"Calm down Shika... I missed you too, now, please get off of me and let's go, we will be late for class."
Despite Mizuki's attempts to keep her friend focused and get to class early, Shika knew everyone, so she stopped every 5 minutes to say hi and chat for a bit, ending up being dragged by Mizuki who wasn't fond of being late. They managed to reach their classroom 2 minutes late, quickly entering and sitting down in the class, Shika prefered to stay in the front rows so Mizuki went to sit in the back of the class by herself on an empty seat, near a tall male with jet black hair and interesting eyes.
She didn't have to look at him though, she needed to quickly get ready for class, which thankfully for her, her teacher was also late. As soon as she managed to get everything ready her teacher slammed the door open making a dramatic entrance, he walked directly towards the board and wrote his name down on it, looking straight at the students as he announced his name
"I'm Moriyama Hisaki, your homeroom teacher. Now don't think just because it's only orientation day that will be softer on you." he said as he locked eyes with the class
"You'll all work to exhaustion, it doesn't matter the amount of raw talent you have, or who your parents are" Hisaki said looking straight at Mizuki and then in a more threatening tone, he continued " You will be treated equally and train so hard you'll wish you never came here. So if you think you're not up for the job now is the time to exit my class."
Everybody stayed put, staring at their professor, somewhere surprised while others were excited and couldn't wait to start.
"Welcome to hell, class 1A."
