Chapter 3

Shortly after she left the roof, Mizuki was nervous, so nervous that she didn't even notice how fast she got ready for the class or how she even got there. She was afraid that she might accidentally hurt any of her classmates or worse, annoy her mother.

But there she was, a few minutes early, in her hero costume, the tank top and accessories matched the black cargo pants she was wearing and her boots, one part of her costume that stood out was the collar around her neck and the two big bracelets in her arms which kept her power somewhat under control and prevented her from losing her cool and being controlled by her emotions.

It didn't take long for her classmates to arrive, fully equipped as well, some looking forward to proving their worth and showing off their power while others were just excited to get it over it. But the combat everyone was expecting was Mizuki against Rin, they still had to beat their first opponents before their fight, but the top students in the class were most likely going to face each other off. But before the actual battle event, they had a few training activities, such as rescue training and agility courses, which were a piece of cake for Mizuki, who grew more and more stressed as the battles approached.

Soon it was time, she was the first one in the arena against Kiyoshi, he had a shifting quirk, who allowed him to switch to shift to any sort of animal as long as he saw it before and it wasn't extinct, with little to no drawbacks which made him a difficult opponent for many, but not for Mizuki. She had the upper hand with her quirk, so it was not a surprise for her when a single blow from her launched him off the platform, even tho she was only partially shifted.

She had a harder time controlling her quirk on a full-body shift, it was even worse if she merged both of the spirits together on a full shift, only being in control for a few seconds. Even though she was nervous and stressed she had managed to keep herself under control, barely, but thankfully Kiyoshi was able to get out of the fight with nothing but a few scratches which was good enough for him

Mizuki now had a few minutes to freshen up before her next fight with Rin, since her other classmates were fighting, so she decided to rest in the shade near her water bottle, which was still full.

She was soon approached by Shika who had just won her combat, wanting to celebrate their first wins but seeing her affected friend she decided to just sit down next to her and with her calmest tone ask her what was bothering her.

"Mother." She didn't need to explain any further, Shika knew right away what was going through her friend's mind. 

"Hey... Hey look at me, Mizuki you're the most powerful person I know and I'm not just talking about your quirk, I'm talking about you. You'll be just fine okay? don't stress it too much" she then held her friend's shaking hands noticing the cracks in her bracelets.

"Mi, hadn't you replaced these last week?" she said pointing at the bracelets

"Yeah what's wrong?" Mizuki looked at her friend confused

"It's- Nothing. It's almost time for your fight, are you ready?"

"No. But I will be. Thank you Shika.." she gave her friend a quick smile before getting up and reaching for her water bottle to drink a little before her match, she needed to be hydrated or she'd lose focus, which could prove to be very problematic for her.

Shortly after she was finished with her drink, she was called for the battle everyone was longing for, Rin x Mizuki. Her palms were quite sweaty and she was very unsteady about the fight but as soon as they got inside the fighting ring it was like all of her worries had washed away, she became focused and calculative, creating the best strategy to beat her opponent.

Since this wasn't an easy opponent, she had gotten 4 of her tails out before the start, meaning she was fused with Yang, the black one, in a partial shift so her hair had turned black like her tails and her ears grew a little bit bigger. She let out a small growl before the fight began, announcing she was ready to quick his butt. She then got into her fighting position which was replicated by Rin, whose double had formed and was already behind him.

Hey hey! a not so painful cliffhanger this week also a big chapter since the author was excited at 2 am and just started to write like a maniac, well she is one...

-.- I feed you and take care of you you dumbass, what are you complaining about? want a trauma so you can complain about something uh? apparently being part of the characters who don't have any kind of pain or trauma is making you quite... demanding.

No, I'm perfectly fine thank you, the author is the embodiment of perfection, total goddess, we don't deserve her O.O
