((n/n) stands for nickname.)

You stood there. A little uncomfortable being so close to a girl you barely knew.

"Suzu...ha? What are you doing here?" Utter confusion in your voice. Suzuha blushed a little due to the close proximity.
"I was actually just grabbing dinner and some bike stuff..." suzuha stated.
"Oh cool! I didn't know you liked to bike. I am from America. I had to ship my bike from the US." Suzuha glanced away embarrassed.
"Well I... actually don't ride on trails. I never have... I'm sorry..."
The subway train bounced a little.
The bump pushed you closer to suzuha.
She shifted her stance so she wouldn't bump into your face. "S-sorry about that" you said embarrassed.
Suzuha shifted herself to stand as far from you as you could you did the same and awkwardly stood there.
"Its okay. If you want... I can take you to a small trail.
It's a beginners trail and has some hills. For me sadly it's the best trail in Tokyo. So its... relatively easy for me." You explained.
You felt warm inside when you saw the smile she gave you.
"I would appreciate that... if you have the time..." She said.
"Aside from work and going to okabes lab for his experiments, I have most afternoons off." Suzuha smiled at the response.
The train stopped and the doors opened. She stepped out and avoided people getting on. It took you a moment to slip between more people and hop out with her.
"Is this your stop?"
Suzuha shook her head "no".
"It was just getting stuffy in there. And well... I needed to get some space..." she stated.
You awkwardly laughed and watched as the train departed.
"I agree there. I definitely don't do well with crowds. And being stuck on a packed train and subway definitely gets hard sometimes." You commented. Suzuha glanced at you while you followed her up the stairs and into the streets.
"I can see why it would become bad or stuffy after a while." Suzuha commented.
"Have you not been on a subway before?" You asked. She nodded when she glanced at a sign pointing toward Ueno Park.
"Yes and no. I haven't been on subways before this week. But I have been on trains before. I come from a small town I the suburbs. So there is a train that comes in and out twice a day. Honestly it's really nice to be in a big peaceful city. Travel is so much easier." She sighed in happiness at the end of her sentence.
"Well it certainly isn't completely peaceful." Suzuha glanced at you with confusion. The both of you walked on a bridge over a highway.
"I mean we have the Yakuza here and other crime syndicates. And then the occasional pervert who tries to go after other men or women. Otherwise this place is really peaceful." You explained. Suzuha glared for a second and continued her walk. The two of you entered the main area of Ueno park and Suzuha went up to the right.
The path eventually lead to a plaza. off in the distance people put away tents and tarps from a shop. Suzuha glanced over with intrigue.
"Certainly more peaceful than where I come from." Suzuha said. "Wait? What do you mean by that?" You asked.
Suzuha ignored the question and continued to walk. She pointed toward all the stands. "What's all that?" She questioned. You brushed off your thoughts and went along with her.
"Those are shop keepers. They make and sell all sorts of items like glass sculptures and wooden bows, plates, and chopsticks and the like." Suzuha looked in awe at the sound of the shops. "Remind me to go here during the day. I'd love to buy some stuff for my apartment." She said. Excitement showed in her voice.
"I will make sure to take you one day then. So... Where is your apartment?" You asked her.
Suzuha glanced in the direction of Tokyo Sky Tree. "It is just over in that direction. Honestly if you want to head home from here I will be fine by myself." Suzuha said. You looked to her nervously. Thoughts rushed through your head about the right thing to do. "Look. I can take care of myself you know. There might not be some slang terms I know of, as well as some food and other cultural things, but I'm not a child."
Her voice was slightly stern in her statement. "Sorry. I wasn't trying to treat you like your were helpless because you are a girl or anything. It's just the basic notion of what can happen to people when they are alone at night. But I'll let you go." Suzuha thanked you and ran off. You watched her run under a narrow bridge. At least for Americans they had to couch a little in order to go under it.
"Odd. I wonder why she didn't want me to walk her to the front of her building. I get it that we only met recently and she might be suspicious however, I'd rather her be safe than sorry." You thought to yourself. When you turned around you bumped into someone. She stepped back and quickly glanced toward you and looked away.
"Oh I'm sorry about that. I didn't expect anyone to be here at this hour." You said. You were confused to see the girl wearing a mask. As if she was some sort of cosplayer.
"Ummm... Mind if I ask what the mask is for?" You asked. The girl Glanced back toward you and walked off. Her mask was that of an Upa. The mouth was all crooked just like the Upa toys. Ears were coming from the upper right and left sides and the eyes looked just as wide and soulless like the rest of the Upa line.
"The hell? Why did she completely ignore me. Something about her isn't right."
