Some of the girl's weight was lifted from your body. Her scream was loud due to being mere meters from her mouth. While down, you took the opportunity to use most of your strength to push her off. She fought back but you quickly pushed her off you. As soon as you pushed yourself up two strong arms wrapped around your waist and dragged you to your feet. You looked up to see Suzuha. She began to run and dragged you by the hand.

"How did you get away from them!?" You shouted. While Suzuha responded you glanced behind to see the girl with the mask holding her face next to a bloody rock. She drew her gun again and aimed it.

"Duck" You shouted. Suzuha listened without hesitation. There was a loud pop from the gun and the bullet flew over your heads. "I took self defense as a kid so when they grabbed me I was able to disarm them and discharge their firearms in the process."

You were surprised but accepted the answer for the time being.

"I didn't know you did that! But man am I thankful you did! You aren't hurt are you!?" You asked.

"I admit I got my shoulder all twisted up when they grabbed me. It hurts but I can deal wit that later." She replied. Another bullet wizzed by but it was another miss. Suzuha ran as fast as she could. You were almost stumbling to keep up with her pace as she dragged you along. "There is a gate right there so we can cross the road!" She shouted. You saw what she was talking about and noticed the gate locked but the latch was loose. "We are gonna need to crash it open right?!" You asked.

"Yes! Get ready for it!" You ran faster along with her and got ready to brace for the impact.

*Crash!* You two barged right through it. You both put all your weight on the latch to open the gate and caused it to collapse in on itself. A part of the latch jabbed into Suzuhas celiac plexus. You heard a groan from her while you felt the metal wire gate lacerate your skin on your face and left shoulder and hand.

You both tripped over the gate and scraped your knees on the wires. Suzuha rolled out of it but held placed her hands in her plexus.

"Let's... go! She stopped." Suzuha said. You looked at her and quickly looked back to where you came from. The girl with the mask was standing ninety feet away. Blood dripped down her mask and hands. Suzuha quickly grabbed your hand again and ran across the street. Three cars honked at you when you went across. You two kept running through the sidewalks and streets avoiding as many bystanders as you could. "Suzu...ha! We need to stop." "I'm right there with you... (y/n)" She replied with a pant. You two finally slowed down and walked until you found a small staircase with a door and a small flat spot at the bottom. You collapsed to your knees and leaned your head to the floor in pain. Suzuha sat down against the wall and grimaced in pain. She held her right shoulder and tried to stretch it only resulting in more pain.

"Suzuha. What the hell is going on?" You asked, trying to relieve the pain from your knee and bloodied hand. You used your right hand to brush off as much dirt as you could from your face.

"I... I really don't know. Maybe my dad did something bad, but I really have no idea." "Alright then. With all the crazy things I'll choose to believe you."

Suzuha smiled with a hint of Meloncholy. She quickly winced in pain again. You noticed and crawled over to her.

"How badly are you hurt?" You asked. Suzuha rolled up her sleeve to show off a black bruise and blood from lacerated skin. You noticed a divot and small hole in her skin on the shoulder.

"I could be better. It hurts really bad though." "It looks painful. I don't quite know how bad it is but I can tell whatever caused that hole is pretty bad." "It must have been from the gate we ran through. I felt a lot of pain from there before. Of course I strained my shoulder earlier this week so it hurts even more than it normally would." She explained. "Yeah that sounds about right. I had a similar injury as a kid. Now can you walk?"
