"Tutturu! Good morning! Well... I guess it's good afternoon now! Oh... U-Ummm... Are you four okay?" Mayuri asked us. Our only response was a dead stare. "Did you guys... Get any sleep?" I got up from laying on the couch. I rubbed my eyes and looked toward Mayushi. Kurisu peered her head from the top of the bed and smiled. "Well I got a small bit, but because I wracked my brain so much it just felt like I was awake while I slept," Kurisu responded. I stood up and helped her down from the bunk.
"I only got an hour or two maybe? But I too feel exhausted." "How many sodas did you all drink?" Mayuri looked as if she was about to pout. The concern in her voice was clear.
"I had 6 I think? What about the rest of you?" I asked. Kurisu counted three on her fingers and Daru counted seven on his. Mayuri looked at the other sixteen bottles littered around.
"Okarin! You drank half of those!?" I snickered when Mayuri stomped over to Okabe and pouted at him. "Well obviously! It is the intellectual drink for the chosen ones. Of course, I have to carry the others and drink the share they don't have."
"Those are bad for your health Okarin! You should cut back on those!" "My my! Mayushi became his mom. Those actions take me back to high school."
"To be fair, high school was only a few years ago. And do you mean your biological mother?" "Yes. And normally it would be for you currently if you weren't a perverted genius girl."
"Hey! Okabe doesn't need your help jerk!"
Mayuri began to laugh at our antics. "anyway. Now that all the lab members are here I want to catch you up in a round table meeting Mayuri." Kurisu folded her arms and faced Okabe when he pulled up the coffee table to the couch. "Did you just... Reference the legend of King Arthur?" "I didn't make a reference! I made a demand as your king! We need to set up our castle defenses from SERN!" "Okarin... Have you been a bad boy again!?" Okabe looked surprised at Mayuri's question. She puffed up her cheeks and folded her arms just to show her dislike of our actions of hacking into SERN. It was quite cute honestly.
"I haven't done anything bad! I sent in the hacker to spy on our enemies! We learned a lot of info and now have to prepare for war!" "Yeah about that Okabe. Do you have any plan on what we will do with the information we learned." Kurisu asked genuinely. "That is a good question. At this point, I think we need to learn more information about them. In the sense that we should wait for them to do more research and use that to make a functional time machine. Kurisu. I tasked you with finding out any flaws SERN has with their experiments. Have you discovered anything? If not then we can continue tomorrow."
"About that."
Kurisu began to draw diagrams on the whiteboard next to the couch. "SERN ran into two problems.
1. Regulating the electron injecting device. In other words, the lifter.
2. How to designate the physical destination after traveling through time.
SERN has been struggling to solve these two problems. But they have been largely unsuccessful."

"Hm? Does their time machine info say anything about the phone wave or LHC?" I was confused why Okabe asked about the phone wave. "Hold on. Are you telling us they have been tracking us or knew about our experiments Okabe?" "Sorry I guess I should rephrase. I mean to ask is do they have any info on something like our phone wave. Similar experiments or anything?"
"Well, they have stated that the LHC is the largest microwave oven in the world.
Because that is in layman's terms what the LHC does. In the process, it just smashes atoms and molecules together." Kurisu made it easy for Daru and Mayuri and me to understand despite my headache.
"So then... Does that mean my messing around and creating the phone wave is in essence a mini version of the LHC?" I asked. Kurisu took me by surprise by slapping my back. I felt the sting for a solid minute afterward. "Atta boy! Now if only we knew how exactly you did that and what the components are connected to. Once we do that then we can probably learn every aspect of the phone wave. As of right now though we don't know what's behind the electrical discharge since the microwave wasn't meant for time travel."
I took a step back from the whiteboard and grabbed myself another Dk Pepper.
"I just realized something," Daru stated. He pointed to the microwave and opened the door.
We all gave him our attention.
"In our two experiments, it was only when the discharge occurred that the texts went back into time. Which means that the texts only go back when we get the discharge."
"That's a good observation Daru. But how do we figure out the cause of the discharge?" Kurisu wrote a few more mathematical equations trying to figure out the discharge. They were quickly erased when she realized the theories wouldn't work.
"Then that's what we need to figure out." Okabe investigated the microwave for a second and glanced at the covered-up hole. "And figure out how to hide that hole we put into the floor or use our time travel to undo it."
