I probably should've put this BEFORE I started this book, but oh well too late now. I probably suggest you read this info page so you aren't confused later on, I'm probably going to end up confusing myself... which will confuse you guys, so I appologize in advance.

As you know, this is an omegaverse so there are three subgenders, regardless of youre born with male or female genitalia. My story is pretty similar to many other ways omegaverses are written because I'm inspired by other writers.

Betas: The most common subgender, they make up half of the population. Betas are much like regular humans, they do not have heats or ruts BUT they do have pheromones. I may have said that they didn't before but I do not remember, so if I did, disregard that and forget it ever happened because they can in fact use their scents. With that being said, they do no have scent glands on their necks like alphas and omegas, rather, they are on the wrists. Why is that? Because betas are able to properly mate an omega. Before they evolved, omegas could only mate with alphas, this was to ensure that they were able to be mated properly, but now, a beta could put a temporary bond an omega by biting their scent gland. This is temporary because unlike alphas, they cannot create a permanent bond, after around a year, the mark on the omegas neck will fade and they will have to remark them in order to continue to be their mate. For example, Iida and Ochako, a beta and omega pair. Betas have scent glands so that they can help their omegan mates out when needed. Beta and omega pairs can only work as intended if the beta is a male. Usually betas are paired with other betas, or in some cases with alphas. Female:female and male:male beta pairs exist, they just can't reproduce.

      Alphas: Alphas make up a little more than 1/4 of the population. They are the strongest subgender and as shown by The Bakugou family, the most powerful ones tend to be rulers and strong fighters over kingdoms... v e r y. T e r r i t o r i a l. Dominant alphas are the strongest alphas, considered very dangerous and usually looked upon as murderers and such (if not royalty). Alphas usually mate with omegas, but can also mate with female betas. To mate any omega they must bite their scent gland placed on the neck during their heat, this marks them forever. A bond created by an alpha and omega pair is permanent, unless forcibly removed. Kinda graphic, but ripping the scent gland out completely from an omega will break the bond and most cases, likely kill them. I will refer back to this later. Female alphas exist, they are usually paired with male alphas and betas, BUT, they can in fact be mated with another omega. Male dominant omegas can impregnate a female alpha. A female alpha and another female of any other subgender cannot have children, as shown by the relationship between Yaoyarozu and Jirou. Alphas have ruts, much like an omegas heat, but different in many ways. An alphas rut happens rarely, on a general term, they are usually occur for 2-4 days every 3 or 5 months depending on the alpha. Ruts are just a heavily increased sex drive, once again, depending on the alpha, the strength of their rut varies as well. If its strong enough, an alphas rut can easily send an omega into heat. Ruts can also be triggered by an omegas heat, which is usually the case. Male alphas experience knots during mating or sex, basically it's when the base of their dicks inflate (?) or get larger  to lock into an omega to try and ensure a pregnancy.

      Omegas: omegas make up less that 1/4 of the population. Often farmed, put in brothels or put in a trading organization, their numbers decrease dramatically. First off, we have submissive omegas, and we have dominant omegas. Submissive omegas, usually common, are mated with alphas and betas, two omegas would not work as a mark from a dominant omega would be rejected by their bodies. Why so? It's hard for a dominant omega to impregnate a submissive one, the rejection allowing better fertility with another pairing. Submissive omegas have heats one a month, lasting 2-7 days. These heats (as well as some alphas ruts) can be prevented or stopped completely by suppressants, these are very dangerous over long time use and can harm fertility as well as the omegas health altogether.  If strong enough will send an alpha into a rut, some heats harm an omega if they are not in good health, sometimes bad health prevents heats in the first place. Submissive omegas are very weak compared to other subgenders, however, dominant ones are similar to a beta. Male Dominant omegas can impregnate a female alpha in a rut, but have heats in a similar time frame to alphas (every 3-5 months, this is how you can tell if they are dominant). Dominant omegas have a way lower fertility rate compared to a submissive omega or a female alpha, as they are not meant to carry children as well as the other two. Submissive omegas are highly fertile during their heats (if in good health with no underlying problems) and can only get pregnant during that time (both male and female). Omegas are very attached to their children/pups even before they are born, they become protective over themselves and the pup. Loosing a pup is devastating to any omega. Once again, male omegas are very rare, I don't think I need to go over this part again, but please comment if you have any questions. Omegas also purr, they usually only do it when they are very happy/content, or around someone they are very close with, say, a mate they love. Alphas can purr as well, but it is very rare and most may never hear it. Omegas also nest! Nesting is when they gather soft/comfortable materials, usually smelling that of the scent of their dam/mother, or their mate. Omegas nest when they are stressed, about to enter/or are in heat, when they want to rest in one, or when they are with their mate. Other examples are included too. Entering an omegas nest without permission usually doesn't end well, it can make the omega uncomfortable, even feral. They can also see people entering their nest as a threat in general. Nesting is very important to an omega, it helps calm stresses and other things included in their mental health and comfort, being taken from their nest or it being ruined can be traumatic even in some/most cases. Omegas usually rest with their pups in it also.

Now about the story itself, there will be spoilers in what I'm about to type. They shouldn't be too big, but anyways, if you'd like to skip over this you can, but maybe come back and read it once you've finished just in case it answers any questions.

          Katsuki is the king of his kingdom now, he was able to prove to his parents at 14 that he was able to take the role. However, as stated before, he does not have full authority until he is mated OR when he turns 18. As of now, both Izuku and Katsuki are 16. It may not seem like it, because I have written the story odd and sort of made Katsuki seem like a soft boy, but Katsuki has been in many battles and conquered a l o t during his two years of being king. Some people see him as a ruthless leader, and a killer. People outside of his kingdom, threatened by his rule, see him as the end of the world. When in reality, yeah, he's deadly alright, but he simply conquers land not only to become more powerful, but to also fix the problems going on in said conquered land. Sooner or later I'll try and fix Katsukis character and make him more mean, but whatever, if you like soft katsuki enjoy him while he lasts. Most Omegas are scared of him, some, as well as betas and other alphas, try and get in his pants to be his mate, but only to take his power.
Izuku grew up pretty much shut away from the world after what happened in the forest. This created a fear deep inside of him, a fear of the world around him and a fear of the people. Alphas terrify him, his mother tells him terrifying stories, as well as the ones that happened to herself when she was growing up. The memory of the forest also scares him, he trusts no alpha, no matter who it is. He didn't have any friends growing up because his mother didn't allow him to leave (to protect him; doing the wrong this for the right reason kind of thing) but when his mother fell ill he needed to find work, the safest place for him to go was to be a servant in the kingdoms castle, it didn't take much to work there and it was the most secure place in the kingdom, even so bad things happen in its walls. He met Iida and Ochako and the group instantly clicked together, they became almost inseparable. The other two had already been working there months prior, soon they fell in love and became mates, even at a relatively young age. They had no one to stop them. Izuku, in the same boat as Katsuki, didn't really want a mate. Katsuki makes himself believe that he's just a deadly king, he doesn't need a mate, but deep down he only wants something to cherish with his life. On the other hand, Izuku knows he doesn't want one. He's a male omega, all alphas want to do is take advantage of him, they see him in their eyes as diamonds, only a material wealth for his rarity. Not to mention he was a beautiful omega... but anyways.
Katsuki feels a bond towards Izuku, even though they've only met twice, is because when they were young and in the forest, Katsuki saving Izuku had formed a trust between their inner subgenders, an instinct like bond. Not only that, but he had scented Izuku without knowing, his alpha was trying to court Izuku very early, hence why he's having the urge to continue. But I'm sure you get the point.

Also, there's a lot of modern inventions in this timeline, it doesn't make sense, but it's just how it is.

I'm sure there's a ton ive missed and needed to go over, but now I'm just lost on how to word this better. With that being said.
