Time went by quick for the boys, even if they were cooped up in what they called home for so long. After that one day in the forest, Izuku was banned from ever walking in there alone until he was older. Despite this, him and Katsuki still met up a few times to play tag or hide and seek. They had considered each other great friends, at least that was until Katsuki didn't show up one day, and then the next, and then never again. Izuku was broken, his only friend wasn't there anymore. He felt as if he was left behind by the thing he truly did love. Even if they were little small boys, that didn't mean they didn't feel anything between one another. They treated each other like gods almost. So once Katsuki "left" Izuku became saddened. After a while, it seemed like Izuku had forgotten about Katsuki. If looking at if from a different perspective, they really were just two friends. Deep down, Izuku never forgot about Katsuki, and he never would in fact. There was just bigger things, things that seemed more important to him after a few years, than Katsuki. He didn't even know Katsuki was the prince yet.

As time went by, Little Katsuki grew, with the Kingdom as well. This meant that time would come soon for him to take the thrown and the empire. One day his Mother forbade him from leaving the castle. She had figured out about Katsuki's Little meetings in the forest with Izuku and it made her furious. She didn't want her son playing with some random child in the forest. Hell, Izuku wasn't supposed to be with Katsuki either. And so, he could no longer see Izuku. The same effect was on Bakugou, but different, he felt as if he abandoned his friend. But he would soon forget about him once he was thrown into training.

Katsuki grew up to be more stubborn and had a scorching hot temper. No one knew where he got it from. Perhaps it was Masaru and Mitsuki's strictness apon him that caused it. Or maybe the fact that all of a sudden he was given this power over others that he didn't know how to use as a prince yet. Let me stop dragging this on forever, basically, he was just an asshole. An asshole that truly did care, but he couldn't show it properly.

He had taken most responsibilities from his father and mother, as they had grown sick from something. It wasn't contagious, but they grew sicker each week. So technically, before he was even crowned king, he was considered one.

Izuku on the other hand.... Well, he was still his timid small self. His mother had taught him the dangers of the world as much as she could, and telling him to find the best mate. (She wanted him to find one worthy of her son) He was a male omega, and that could come with major issues. He was scared, why wouldn't he be? Something like what she's preparing him for, could have in fact happened when he was little.... but Katsuki...

Anyways, Izukus mother had grown quite frail herself. Time and stress took a toll on her, but she was still her happy little self just making the best of life. But with how weak she had become, Izuku needed to take her place and find work since she couldn't anymore. With that being the case, he found the safest, easiest job that would be able to provide at least the minimum for the two. He would be a worker in the castle.

Usually, he would prep the halls or prepare something in the kitchen, but with his clumsiness he was often moved down to just be a maid/janitor like occupant. He didn't really like this job, he considered it boring. But again, it was safer here, and it was for his mother. So he went through with the day, and towards the end he was exhausted, working in the castle was not easy. But he would return to his little quarters like the rest of the workers did.

Omega, Alpha, and Beta workers were separated in their own little living spaces for safety reasons. If an omega went into heat it could cause the alphas to go fucking nuts, or if an alpha went into one of their ruts then they might pose a threat to any inmates omegas. These living quarters were towards the front of the castle. They weren't exactly anything fancy, just little wooden rooms that held a bed and simple things. Izuku had a small bed and a mirror. He didn't share a room with another omega sadly. Sometimes it got lonely, but that was until he met his now best friend, Ochako Uraraka. She was an omega like her, she had her own mate, a beta. His name was Tenya Iida. Like Mitsuki, he was a royal messenger. He took his job v e r y seriously. He mostly sent word around the castle, rather than leaving. He would take orders and send them to the destined group.

Ochako on the other hand, was a maid like Izuku. She had the same fate of clumsiness, but she sort of enjoyed her job. She found cleaning the floors satisfying somehow. And so she and Izuku worked together in their shifts. They grew to know eachother nicely and they were their own pod. ( or a squad
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) , Deku-Squad for the win) These were the only people Izuku really had to socialize with. He was pretty shy, and his clumsiness had gained him the title of loser throughout the castle. He didn't like it, it could've brought him down, but he honestly didn't think much of it. To him, it was just the truth and that's all it would be.

Izuku never really thought about getting his own mate. He didn't seem worthy of someone loving him. After all, society saw male omegas simply as sex toys and whores. In some cases with other male omegas, this was true, to which it created the stereotype. There was a few occasions in which Izuku could have gotten caught in something bad, but narrowly avoided it, luckily. He was more focused on making his mother proud, little did he know, all his mother wanted before she ever died, was to see her son with a lovely mate who would treat him right.

Katsuki, like his father, was slowly pressured to get a mate faster than ever. He would get letters and shit from other places and kingdoms asking for him to marry their omegas. He thought it was disgusting. He hated the lowly omegas, not because of what they were, but because of how shoved in his face they were. Honestly, he just didn't like women. He would sometimes see a pretty omega and think maybe she would be worthy, of course these were just impulsive thoughts, but as soon as they showed their true side to him, he didn't even want to speak to them. And so he kept on with his busy work as a mini king, trying not to focus on his need for a mate.

These might've been reasons he became so sour, he was treated like some pimp. That's not what he truly wanted. Sometimes he just hoped that the Omegan Trade group would bring him some holy omega that would be perfect. But that was just silly, anything they brought him was the same.

Like Izuku, he worked hard enough to try and make his parents proud. Even if he was an asshole, he just wanted to do his duties.
