I looked at the wall of the conference room in the BAU. It has been a month since Maeve my ex-girlfriend has passed. Every time I closed my eyes I see her and me there. Living in perfect harmer, but I am pulled into reality when I wake up. No one really knows how to help me. And I don't know how to help myself. I really did love her and now she is gone. I will never get to see her face ever again. I know it's not right to grief, but Maeve was somebody I thought I would never lose. I was wrong. I'd lost her and no one knows how to help me. Soon the rest of the team came in. They all sat down. Soon a girl with light brown hair and blue eyes came in. She sat down next to Morgan. I looked up.

"Guys," Hotch says which gets my attention. "This is Lilly Armstrong. She will be with us for the next couple of months."

She smiles at everyone and puts her head down. Soon Morgan and her start talking. As we waited for J.J to come in, we all started talking. For me, I just sat there. Lilly looked over at me. She licked her lips and put her head down. Soon J.J comes in.

"Sorry I'm late," she says.

"It's OK. J.J this is Lilly Armstrong she will be with us for the next couple of months," he says. Lilly gets up and shakes her hand. She sits back down. J.J gets out her tablet.

"OK guys get ready to go to Miami, Florida because that is where our next case will be taking us," She starts. "Cecilia Jones, a twenty-five-year-old woman who was walking home one night when someone out of the blue kidnapped her, raped her and murdered her. She was stabbed twenty-five times." A picture pops up on the screen. I looked over at Lilly who really didn't do anything. She was, however, studying the pictures. "Then two nights after that another girl goes missing. Ashley Richard. She was twenty-six who was walking home one night when she was kidnapped raped and murdered. Stabbed twenty-six times. Mary Greer. She went missing last night." J.J sat down next to Morgan.

"Where were the bodies found?" Lilly says shyly.

"The two bodies were found in a park," J.J says.

"The parks were different right?" She asked and J.J nodded. Lilly licked her lips.

"Why would somebody do this?" Rossi asked.

"Maybe because this unsub lost someone they used to torture," Lilly says. You could tell in her voice she was very shy.

"You really think so Armstrong?" Hotch asked me. She shrugs.

"Maybe, but I think we need to look a little more into this to find out why the unsub is doing this," She replies.

"OK wheels up in thirty," Hotch says. We all get up. I walked out.

*Lilly's P.O.V*

I barely knew any of these people. I only knew Morgan because he was a long-term friend and I just got to meet the rest of the team. As we all got up, I saw a brown hair and hazel eye guy walked out. He has his physics book in his hand and didn't look happy at the meeting went. He got up so quick it was like he was seeing somebody he didn't want to see. He also looked like he had lost somebody very close to him. As everyone walked out it was just Morgan and me.

"So I saw your eyeballing Spencer," He says. I looked at him confused.

"Who?" I asked him.

"Spencer Reid. The one with the physics book, the one I told you about. The pretty boy," he says.

"Oh him. He seems...Sad," I say.

"Yeah, he lost his girlfriend about a month ago. Poor guy. He doesn't deserve to go through all this," He says.

"Well, I know what that pain is like," I say.

"Yeah you have lost so many people in your life," He says as we walked out. I looked down.

"Please don't remind me I already have enough pain with you around," I joked. He looked at me.

"Well, that is not fair to say. I am not a pain," he says. He looks hurt and I laughed.

"It's good to be around again," I say.

"Yeah," He says.

I looked over at Spencer who was spinning in his chair. He didn't even dare to touch his physics book. I sighed and went to my desk which was right across from Spencer's. He looks at me. I looked down at the book that I had out. I was already packed and ready to go. He kept looking at me until I spoke up.

"What are you looking at?"

*Spencer's P.O.V*
I couldn't help but look at Lilly. She seemed so different from the rest of the team.

"What are you looking at?" She asked me kindly. I looked down then back at her.

"I don't know. I guess you seem really different from the rest here," I say. She smiles. As she smiles you could see the pain behind it. Like she was scared that someone was going to know about her past.

"Well Spencer Reid, everyone has gone through pain and we are all waiting for the day when it doesn't hurt more," she says.

Was she right? Were we all looking for that piece of pain just to go away and not return? I got up and got my duffel bag and Lilly was right behind me. We walked in the elevator together and she pressed her thumb on the lobby button. We waited in silence. Once when I heard the ding, I got out of the elevator and saw Morgan waiting for us. Lilly got into the front and I got into the back. Morgan smiles in the rear-view mirror and drives off. As we were driving on our way to the jet I looked out the window and up at the sky. Knowing she was looking down at me.

Pic is Lilly. I based the title off of Counting Stars by OneRepublic. I also based it off on Lilly's and Spencer's pain about losing someone they very much loved.
