It was 2 AM.
Yeah, 2 AM.

He was kept awake by the creak of the stairs, or somebody moving upstairs. While sure, he liked having a room under the stairs, it was dark, it was his little gremlin cave, not small enough to make him start panicking, it was just right.

But it always kept him awake when the stairs creaked or somebody moved. Tommy had become a light sleeper in the past few years, so it was somewhat annoying.

Tommy sat up, rubbing his eyes and pushing the covers off.

Maybe a glass of water would help, actually, no scratch that, he probably wasn't getting sleep.

He threw his legs over the side of his bed, he stood up, stretched and walked over to his door, opening it slowly and walking out of his room.

He dragged his feet across the floor, it was pretty cold considering he was only wearing some jogging shorts and an oversized shirt he'd stolen from Techno a few months back, the type of shit you shouldn't wear in winter.

He brought himself into the kitchen, reaching for the light switch, flicking it on.

And getting very confused at what he saw.

"What are you doing?" Tommy narrowed his eyes, a look of confusion across his face.

"I'm getting cake..." Techno looked at Tommy, putting the lid back on the tubberware(how tf do you spell it) that held the cake.

Techno walked over to the fridge, putting the tubberware on the top shelf, shutting the door and walking back over to his plate.

"....why?"

"I was hungry."

Techno picked his plate up, walking towards the exit of the kitchen.

"Why're you up anyway, it's 2 am." Techno Down at tommy.

"I couldn't sleep."

"before you even ask: Yeah, come on."

Tommys face lit up and Techno sighed, walking to the stairs.

Tommy quickly flicked the light off, hastily following his older brother.

The two arrived in Technos room, Tommy sitting on Technos bed while Techno spun around at his desks chair.

They sat in silence, Tommy getting a little tired seeing as Techno had a lot of shit in his room absorbing most of the sound(SCIENCE SHIT FEAR ME).

Techno didnt finish the cake, leaving it on the desk moving to sit on the bed next to tommy, he grabbed a blanket from the end of his bed, and threw it over Tommy, who seemed to have fallen asleep.

It didn't take Techno that long to fall asleep either, the two brothers if they ever ran into each other at night, always seemed to do this if neither of them could sleep.

Techno was awoken by the sun shining onto his face, immediately noticing the weight laying on his chest.

He looked down, nothing the fluffy, almost curly, blonde hair and immediately identified it as Tommy, remembering what'd happen a few hours before.

Techno pulled the blanket further over the tow of them and he ran his fingers through the youngers hair.

Sure, Tommy was a gremlin child, he was loud and annoying at times, but he was still his baby brother no matter what people thought.
