“ You're dead Spider-man!"

I leap to the left with my good leg and dodge his punch. I kick him in the face and blow him backwards.

“ Technomancer, you don't understand, Rockwell set this place to explode, if we don't get out of here we'll die!"

He gets up and looks at me with his dark red eyes.

“ It doesn't matter, once I kill you I'll make my way out of here to kill Rockwell anyway!"

“ I know you want revenge on Rockwell, but I can't let you kill him, and I won't lose here."

I feel my leg pain go away and start to stand normally again.

I could've used this five minutes ago.

I run at Technomancer and he forms a spike to come my way. I dodge it and punch him in the face. He stares at me and punches me in the chest.

I fly back and hit the wall behind me when an idea comes to my head.

Maybe I'm coming at this wrong. Brute force might not be the answer.

I look at my wrists to notice my EMP shooters at full charge.

But I know another way.

I charge my EMP shooters and aim them toward Technomancer. I fire and the blast blows him back. Silver liquid flows off his body to show him to be normal again. I walk over to him and sling him over my shoulder.

I swing us through the hole I made earlier and go to check the timer for the bomb. I check the bomb's timer to see it set for 5 minutes.

5 minutes! That's barely enough time to get to the ground floor. At this rate we're doomed.

I quickly run to the elevator and force open the doors. I swing up higher and higher as I remember the danger below us. I hit the first sublevel and quickly head through it. I turn the corner to see the exit. I run toward it when I hear a loud sound.

Boom!!!!

The bomb goes off, causing me to wobble to the ground. I get up to see the exit blocked by debris and head toward a different one. I feel the ground rumbling below my feet as the building collapses.

This buildings going down quick, and there's not an exit in sight. Unless I find one then we're doomed.

I smell Smoke surrounding me and run quicker. I turn around a corner to see the last exit. I run toward it quickly as debris falls. I rush through the door and the building collapses right as I do.

I fall to the ground and get back up to see I'm surrounded by police and paramedics. They all look at me as I walk up to them.

“ Here's Technomancer, the cause of all of this. I suggest keeping him from any technology, I'd hate to have to do this again."

I hand over Technomancer to the policeman and swing away.

My arms get tired so I decide to walk the rest of the way. I swing behind an alley and conceal the symbiote. I walk out to see the fire and destruction of the city. There's not many people, but some are looking through the wreckage.

I'm halfway home when I see a bunch of worker's moving inactive Technodroids. I walk past to see one with a piece of its chest missing and realize it's one I encountered earlier.

“ Do you know where you're taking them?" I ask the worker. He looks at me tiredly. “ They're supposed to be scrapped apart and redistributed back to Rockwell Inc."

Of course.

“ Well isn't he gonna be held in contempt, or arrested, or something? " “ I don't know much kid, all I know is they're blaming this all on that Technomancer guy."

So, Rockwell walks away free, Technomancer suffers for crimes he did and didn't commit, and all I get out of this is sore. Today sucks.

I walk until I reach home and see it's okay. Not many of the houses have damage, and luckily mines one of them. I walk in to see there's a message on the voicemail. I press the play button and slump on the couch.

“ Hi, Samuel? Are you home? Those robots are going crazy and headed your way. Please call me, I'm worried, bye."

If only she knew.

I head up to my room and lay on my bed. I turn on my TV to watch the news. There's mostly reports of damaged buildings and injured people. They show Technomancer being taken away to some secure facility. I turn off my TV and lay back.

Okay, that's one down and one to go. Unfortunately, this one's harder to take down. He has the city's trust, and billions of dollars. But somehow, I will make Rockwell pay for this.
