Technodroid Takeover

Boom

A sound jolts me awake. I jump out of bed and run downstairs. I look outside to see the police firing at something down the street. I can't see what it is so I run back upstairs and get dressed. I quickly head out the window to get a better look.

I climb down and hop on a garbage can to see the thing down the street. I look to see 5 technodroids down the street firing at the police. The big R on their chests turned red.

Technomancer

I summon the symbiote around me and swing through my neighbors back yards to sneak up on them. I arrive at the house beside them and sneak to the front. I run at one when it quickly jerks its arm and smacks me away.

I hit a car and slump to the ground. I get up to see the technodroids looking at me. They begin to charge their guns and I jump away. They begin firing and hit my right leg. I wince in pain and form wings. I fly upward and they chase me. I head toward downtown and they continue chasing me.

I look to see buildings damaged or destroyed. I fly toward a building and try to turn when a technodroid blocks my path. I try to turn the other way when I see another blocking it. I look around to see I'm surrounded and look toward the thin glass building.

Hope this works

I fly through the window and head through the office building. The technodroids pursue after me and I hide behind a desk. They keep flying past me and go fly through the other side. I get up and look around to see I'm alone. I walk toward the window and look around outside of it. I see nothing and decide to swing away.

It's about time I talked to their Creator about this.

I swing toward Rockwell Inc to find it less damaged than the other buildings. I walk toward the door to get a jolt of electricity. I jump back and hit the ground.

That explains why the building isn't as damaged as the others.

I get up and look at the building. I take out my wrist shooters and aim toward the door. I set them for high pulse and shoot it. The field disappears and I run through the door. A few seconds later it reappears.

I look to see the lady at the desk. I walk toward her and she looks up at me. “ I'm here to see Mr. Rockwell, is he in?" She points toward the elevator. “ 55th floor." I head in the elevator and hit the button for the 55th floor. The elevator hums and heads upward. It stops and the doors open. I exit to see Rockwell standing by a large window.

“ the billionaire who caused all this, just standing by a window instead of trying to help." He looks back at me and then at the window. “ and the supposed hero who cowers inside my building instead of helping to stop this disaster." I walk toward him and look out the window with him.

“ the point is Rockwell, I need your help to stop this." He looks at me and smirks. “ oh really? And how am I supposed to help?" “ you know how to shut these things down, there's only one problem that both of us need to help each other on." “ and what is that?" “ the villain who did this, Technomancer, he's controlling the technodroids." “ Technomancer, what are his capabilities?" “ so far he can control technology." “ technological control? This technomancer has to be stopped."

Rockwell goes to his desk and reaches in his drawer. He pulls out an orb and places it on his desk. He presses a button on it and a hologram of a building appears. “ this Technomancer would have to physically connect with the technodroids database in order to have this much control." He swipes his hand across the hologram and shows a different one. “ if he succeeds in taking control of the entire database, he'll have control of the technodroids all across the nation as well." He swipes the hologram again and shows an address. “ if we hurry we'll be able to stop him before that happens."

He turns off the hologram and places the orb in his pocket. “ what do you mean by we? What are you gonna do? "He goes into a backroom and exits a few minutes later in silver armor with silver wings on its back. “ I'm gonna help you stop this Technomancer." “ I hope you know Rockwell, once this is over I am bringing you down." He gives a slight chuckle.“ like I said before, you can try."

He opens a window and looks back at me. “ let's go." He flies through the window and I follow him. We fly through the streets until we reach the building. We fly downward and hide behind a car. “ the buildings surrounded by technodroids." I look to see a technodroid by itself and shoot it with my wrist shooters. It shuts down and falls on the ground. “ follow me." We sneak into the building and head for the door until I hear a sound.

Swoosh

We look back to see over 2 dozen technodroids looking at us. “ we have to fight them Rockwell, we can't get away from all of them." They charge toward us and we fly upward. Rockwell throws a silver orb at them and shocks some of them. I punch one in the head and it falls back down.

We have to hurry and destroy them. If we don't then Technomancer will win. I can't let that happen. Rockwell might be a villain but he's my best shot at stopping him. Once this is over, then I can worry about Rockwell, until then it's all about Technomancer.
