*John POV*"Get ready John! I need some caffeine!" I heard Lafayette shout from his bedroom. "John! Get your ass out of the shower." That's when I got the hint. I turned off the warm water that was once dripping down my sculpted back, and grabbed the towel I had brought with me into the bathroom.
As I glanced in the mirror I saw the guy everyone imagines me to be. My curly brown hair framed my freckled, chiseled face. My hazel eyes glimmer was diminished by the slight black eye I had gotten from my last football practice. And my abs peeked through my thin under shirt. "Just the jock everyone sees me as." I hum to no one in particular.
"John! I swear to all holy baguettes! Get your southern ass over here or I'm leaving without you!" He paused. "Okay, I would leave without you if I was the one driving, but you get my point. Hurry the fuck up!" The angrier he got, the more prominent his French accent became. Once again, I got the hint and threw my flannel on before grabbing my keys.

I held the door open for Laf as we entered the small local cafe. The aroma of coffee and fresh baked pastries smacked me in the face. Just as I turn to face the counter, I hear someone shriek my name."John! Oh my god I forgot this was your favorite coffee shop!" I could recognize that bubbly tone anywhere.
"Peggy! Long time no see. Wait... what are you doing behind the counter?" I tilt my head in concussion as both Laf and herself facepalms. "Okay, what am I missing here..." I questioned.
Both Laf and Peggy continue to laugh until Pegs finally gains enough composure to form a sentence. "My god John. I-I dont k is why I would be behind the c-counter. It's n-not like I've worked here for the p-past few months!" Peggy exclaims, chocking on her words as she tries to hold back the laughter that threatens to escape her throat. Oh yeah, that. I totally didn't forget that my best friend got a summer job at my favorite cafe.
"Anyways, Pegleg. I'm guessing you know our order by now?" Laf quizzed. She rolled her eyes as she drew two large cups from her left, and recited our orders.
"For Lafayette, I have a large caramel latte, and for John I have a large vanilla iced coffee, with one cream, five sugars, along with five extra pumps of vanilla and a dash of cinnamon on top of the extra whipped cream." As Pegs ran through my order, I slowly felt my face turn warm, as I heard the person behind us chuckle. I tried my best to ignore their antics, and nodded my head to assure Peggy that she got my order correct.
After we picked up our coffee, Laf and I sat at our usual table in the corner. "Uh John, are you going to answer those?" I didn't even realize that my phone had been going Berserk with notifications. They're all from my art account. Strange.
"Wait are those all from your art account?" Only Peggy and Laf knew about my art account. Well okay, I have over 5,000 followers, so more than two people know about it, but they are the only one who know it's me.
"Yeah. This one account must be stalking me," I joked. "They're liking all of my photos." I shrugged and put my phone on vibrate.
"So Laf, are you ready for junior year at King's?" I asked, trying to strike up any type of conversation. In which I was successful in. We continue to converse about the upcoming school year as we sip on our coffees, that honestly, we're just as expensive as my tuition.
A/N Hey! Sorry this is a shorter chapter, they get longer, don't worry. But I hope you like this story!
