YOU IN THAT DRESS, MY THOUGHTS, I CONFESS...

DAWN WAS A LOVER OF MANY THINGS

DAWN WAS A LOVER OF MANY THINGS. People, french fries, brownies, the color brown, lavender, mom jeans, victory—the list goes on. But something she decided she definitely did not love, was being on a tiny boat in the middle of the ocean.

The only reason she wasn't outwardly panicking, was because of the green eyed boy who sat dangerously close to her. As if he were taunting her.

And he was. That stupidly handsome smirk hadn't left his face the entire time, and Dawn was just about ready to wipe it right off of his face.

Two could play at this game.

Just... maybe not on a tiny boat with two other younger—very innocent—demigods. Dawn was having a very hard time even smiling, at this point.

She wouldn't lose the damn bet. She couldn't.

From across the water, an old homeless man?? pointed a bony finger at Percy and mouthed something like Don't even think about it.

Dawn rolled her eyes and turned to Percy, "What deity did you piss off now?"

Percy gave her a sarcastic smile, before shifting his body towards the sunset. His face was illuminated in red and golden hues, and warm wind blew through his hair. His eyes fluttered shut for a moment. A long, quiet moment of silence that was only filled by the small chatter of Hazel and Frank, and the serene waves that echoed across the open sea.

"I... I think I've been here before. I don't know. I think I was looking for a girl." He shrugged a bit, as if his past didn't interest him much.

Though, Dawn could still see the small pit of curiosity spinning through his deep eyes.

"Do you remember anything about the girl?"

"No."

He frowned a bit, before flashing Dawn a small grin and scanning the city. Dawn's gaze rested at the side of Percy's face. She liked to look at him.

She noticed how relaxed his face was when he wasn't sending her those sarcastic smirks, or seductive grins.

It was... different. Dawn shook her head, and pulled on a smirk.

"Hey, Haz, how ya feeling?" She taunted innocently.

"Bad." She groaned from Frank's shoulder. "Now leave me alone, and go back to staring at Percy when he's not looking."

Dawn could hear Percy's snicker, as he placed a hand on her lower knee with raised eyebrows.

"Looks like I'm on track to winning the bet."
