Blinking. Eyes adjusting to the darkness. Where am I, the hybrid asked herself. She felt warm and comfortable, tempting her to fall back asleep. A soft sigh caught her attention. She jolted awake in surprise as someone gently took her hand.
"You're awake...?"
Realization hit Autumn like a brick. She was laying in a bed. With Ryan Johnson. A soft squeak came from the girl. She tried to form a question, but no words would come out.
As if reading her mind, Ryan spoke up again. ".. I wasn't going to let you sleep on the couch with Alex.."
Another squeak came from Autumn. Without thinking, she buried her face in Ryan's chest. A soft chuckle came from the glitch. Without thinking, Ryan put his arm around her, pulling her closer.
Autumn whined softly, her face turning red.
Ryan glanced over at the alarm clock, sighing softly. ".. I need to get ready for work," he mumbled. A quiet whine came from Autumn. "Okay.."
Ryan rolled over into his back and got up, going and turning on the lights. As he began to get dressed, he could sense Autumn watching. However, when he looked, she whined and looked away. Her face was beet red.
"You can watch, I don't care," he said nonchalantly.
Ryan slipped on his jacket and went over to Autumn, ruffling her hair. "I'm headed to work."
"C-Can I stay in here..?" Autumn asked, giving Ryan a puppy dog look. Ryan playfully rolled his eyes.
"Sure. Get some sleep, kay?" He gently kissed her forehead and turned. When he left, Autumn curled back up. She took in the alpha's scent, the memory replaying over and over. "I could get used to this," she mumbled to herself. Eventually she drifted off to sleep.
