An unlikely friendship - Jörmungand x Autumm

It'd been several weeks since the Norse demigods had gone missing. People were searching everywhere but had no luck.

After hearing about it from her boyfriend Gabriel, Autumn decided she'd join the search. Even with her powers and with several others helping, she was still struggling.

But then it happened. Just as she was about to give up, she wandered into a forest. Immediately she could sense something.
Something, or someone, was watching her.

Autumn turned around and saw a man with bright green, snake like eyes.

The man took a step back, sensing something off about her. Then he realized..
"You're one of them." Another step back.

"Wait!" Autumn got the male's attention again. "Ég er ekki hér til að særa þig!"
(Translation: I'm not here to hurt you)

The man stopped dead in his tracks and looked at her. His eyes turned back to their natural gold color. "Kanntu íslensku?"
(Translation: You know Icelandic?)

Autumn nodded. "Ég þekki nokkra."
(Translation: I know some)

"Hver ert þú, ókunnugur?" The male tilted his head slightly.
(Translation: Who are you, stranger?)

"Ég heiti Autumn Novak."
(Translation: My name is Autumn Novak)

"... Jörmungandr." There was a slight hiss to the demigod's tone.

"Þú ert hálfguð, ekki satt?" Autumn asked, even though she knew the answer.
(Translation: You're a demigod, right?)

Jörmungandr froze. "Hvernig vissirðu það?"
(Translation: How did you know that?)

"Lucky guess?" Autumn smiled softly. The demigod only watched her, not saying anything more for a moment.

"You're different," He stated. "You're... one of us. A trickster."

"Yeah..." Autumn trailed off. ".. I know your dad." She cautiously watched the demigod's reaction. There was a few possibilities. Either he'd panic, get pissed, or not react.

"Mér datt í hug eins mikið.." Jörmungandr looked her in the eyes. He wasn't mad. If anything, he respected the honesty.
(Translation: I figured as much)

Autumn met his gaze. "You're not mad..?"

"It takes more than that to get on my bad side." The demigod slightly smiled. Autumn breathed a sigh of relief.

"There is one thing I need to know... Are you here to take me back to them?" He questioned.

"Not exactly." Autumn sat down on a rock. "Really, I'm here to help you."

"Help me?" The demigod cautiously took a seat beside her. Autumn nodded and looked at him. "I wanna help you hide from them."

"I see.." Jörmungandr responded after a brief pause. The conversation didn't go much further. Instead, the two just simply enjoyed each other's company.

When Autumn checked her phone, she realized how long she'd been gone. I need to get going before the other's get suspicious.

"Hey.. I gotta go, but do you wanna come with me?" She offered, looking at the demigod with hope in her eyes.

Jörmungandr tilted his head slightly. She would've done something already if she meant harm, he reminded himself.

"Ég skal fara með þér."
(Translation: I'll go with you.)
