Bran was outside the estate waiting for Hestia nervously, his dark brown hair was wavy and all over the place, he wore a simple commoners dress shirt and slacks. He didn't want to come off as too regal in the city, he wanted a nice normal date with the girl he'd just now realized he had a crush on.

Looking back on it all the signs were there, since the moment he laid eyes upon the little goblin woman when she walked in the door for a job interview nearly 4 years ago, he couldn't help but admire her cute features.

Her hair was cut in a cute little bob, and her glasses made for an immediate visual judge of her dorkiness, the stud in her nose and the ones in her ears were interesting accessories that caught his attention quickly, and he quickly came to appreciate her tiny dimples that appeared alongside her sweet smile.

His attention was caught, there was something that clicked at first sight, and his Interest-only grew over time, quickly she became his favorite Maid, he would find himself trying to talk to her more and more.

Each day Bran sought out the nerdy girl he had unknowingly fallen for, they talked of their dreams, he fondly recalled Hestia confiding her dreams of becoming an actor to him after a traveling theatre troupe had arrived at the manor for a performance.

Bran also recalled the melancholy that clouded his emotions when she went off on her journey with the very same troupe, yet he was glad she had finally returned to the manor.

A unique thought popped into his mind, what made her accept his date?

She originally described it as a "hangout" but was more than willing to accommodate his wishes of removing the platonic elements.

Perhaps... she had actually been harboring feelings for Bran, the thought ping-ponged around his skull for a moment going back and forth on whether it could be truthful or not.

While he was caught in mental debate a rather nervous Hestia stepped out the front of the manor and down the stairs.

Her head was hung low but her eyes were positioned upward scanning Bran's reaction.

Hestia wore a black cloth skirt reaching to her knees with black stockings underneath, above that was a yellow shirt seemingly trimmed to fit her small size, her hair was arranged in a short messy ponytail.

The other servants had heard of the upcoming date between one of their own and a young lord of Owyn estate, each contributing their clothing ideas and arriving at this simple outfit, the ponytail being a last-minute addition from a self-conscious Hestia thinking her hair was a tad too frizzy.

She held her hands overlapped in front of her hips expectantly, giving an inquisitive "Well?" Bran smiled excitedly "you look gorgeous!" He admitted assuringly, a bashful grin appearing on Hestia's face "Th-Thankyou!".

The two entered a carriage and sat across from each other on the ride to the city in silence, awkwardly catching glances at one another before looking away so the other wouldn't take notice of their gaze, like a childish game of cat and mouse.

They arrived at a theatre house and took their seats after purchasing some popcorn and a fizzy new drink mixture of sugar and other ingredients they found to be enjoyable.

The two shared laughter and despair watching the many twists and turns of their selected play, but the entire time all Hestia could think about was her need for Bran to wrap his arm around her.

Bran's thoughts were nagged by the question in the back of his mind 'why did Hestia accept his date?' was it his social status, his wealth, his appearance?

None of that seemed correct, he got it! It must've been his daring rescue!

Bran's saving of Hestia was obviously the only reasonable answer, it must've awakened a deep deep longing inside of her, just like in those fairytales!

After the show had reached its finale the odd Goblin and Human pair exited the building and began strolling through town window shopping through each of the quaint little stores picking out some treats to enjoy as they went along.

Their feet traveled for hours over the cobblestone streets until the sun had set and the cold summer night's breeze nestled into the air.

The stiffness and awkwardness were still present but it didn't stop them from enjoying their evening and one another's company.

"I had a lot of fun tonight" Hestia grinned looking up to meet Brans' eyes "it was my pleasure" Bran smirked back "Whaddya say we get back to the estate and turn in? I'd be more than happy to go on another one of these 'dates' with you some other time though~" Hestia pressed.

"That sounds wonderful! But that does bring me to my next question" "Oh?" Hestia asked confused "why did you agree to my date? It was the rescue wasn't it?" Bran prodded nervously "no idiot" Hestia said sternly.

"I accepted because I like you, I thought that was clear, and I like you because you're always so supportive, like when I left to join the theatre troupe" "Hestia if I'm being honest, I didn't want you to go" a shred of guilt filled Bran's voice "but you encouraged me to go anyway" Hestia's voice was thankful but her face was firm, she was trying to get her point across.

"I missed you so much..." Bran confessed "well now that I'm back I'm not gonna leave your side~" Hestia's assurance caused Bran to become a tad bashful, a stupid smile reaching his face.

On the carriage ride home the two sat on the same side, after working up the courage Bran asked Hestia "W-would it be ok if I could Uhm... hold your hand?" Hestia giggled light-heartedly "how forward~" she joked holding out her slender hand palm-up.

Bran took her hand into his own, the size difference apparent as her small pale green fingers intertwined with his larger cream ones, the two locking eyes as they had done before once more basking in the other's company.

Bran hesitated for a moment but his eyes were quickly filled with determination as he pressed his lips against Hestia's, he forgot to turn his head so their noses were squished together and it was rather awkward but in Bran's mind it was flawless, at least for a first kiss... ever.

Bran's hand outstretched to cup the surprised woman's cheek and their eyes slowly drifted shut in acceptance.

After they had parted they waited breathlessly for a moment "I've been wanting to do that for a while now..." Bran breathed out "Then let's give it another go, you kinda sucked" Hestia insisted with a teasing smile.

The two leaned in once more, their lips enveloping one another's, this time remembering to rotate their heads, Bran grabbed Hestia by the hips and lifted her up onto his lap prompting a little yelp to escape her lips and a dark blush to paint her cheeks.

"Look at those cute little cheeks~" Bran flirted "wh-which ones...?" the smaller of the two asked, the blush spreading to Bran as he realized he still hadn't released his grasp from Hestia's hips.

The two returned to the manor and went their separate ways, having thoroughly enjoyed their night "I'll see you soon sweetheart~" Bran hummed "can't wait~" Hestia returned.

After Arriving in his room Bran changed into something more comfortable and played out his evening as normal sleeping like a baby.

On Hestia's end, she was bombarded by non-stop questioning via the other servants for hooouuurrrsss before being left alone, her cheek's reddish glow never dimming through all of it recalling the carriage ride back, a detail she was forced to disclose painfully.
