The Silverpelin had altered course from the north for the momentous occasion, and the mansion was obviously alight with life and excitement.

Miniscule fiendish servants danced and flew through the halls carrying caskes of fruity Elvish wine and various other party provisions.

Aurelia marked off boxes on a clipboard as Phebis began her once over of the Elvish language aloud to herself while pacing back and forth, glass of wine in hand.

A floor above, Willow had chosen a few pretty things from her massive collection alongside the others casually trying on and discarding their way to the perfect fit dress by dress.

Finally a floor above was Bran and Naal going over ballroom dancing step by step, ironically the human lordling was not nearly as quick a learner in dancing as the drow who had already begun to catch on.

Bran and Naal were going through another set as Lucan burst through the door, wine caske under arm and small infuriated imp in toe.

Dancing for hours Naal had finally got the hang of it, possibly better than either Bran or Lucan who had now educated the two others on what he meant by "grab a drink for them".

The dancers broke out into laughter as a struggle broke out on the ground in a vicious grapple for the wine Lucan had foolishly nabbed from the air.

"Well I'd say this is as good a time as any to stop, I think you've learnt all there is to teach" "Thank the divines... I'm going back to my room to read and wait for Luanne, thanks again guys" "no problem man!" Bran beamed "It *glug* was no problem *glug*" a whine soaked Lucan breezed as he took huge swigs from the shattered remains of the caske.

"Ok Hest you can come out now" Willow invited "I think it looks good, what do you think?" Hestia exited the closet.

Hestia was wearing the most beautiful maroon gown, it hugged her curves just right and showed the perfect amount of cleavage.

The dress sparkled with flecks of ruby light that screamed with brightness against the lantern flame, as she took each uneasy step she wobbled on the high heels that could make her pass for a short human instead of a goblin.

"I-I like it, juuuust a little- woah! Unused to the heels" the small woman stammered as she paced.

"you look amazing! I love the nose ring, great pick" Willow nodded approvingly as Hestia glanced over herself in the mirror focusing on the small piece of silver resting upon her left nostril.

They wouldn't arrive at the ball until at least daybreak tomorrow but even still she had coated her lips in a beautiful red that gleamed like her dress in the flame.

She was never very attuned to makeup outside of the stage, however a little guidance and sweet-talk on Willow's behalf had given her an adequate amount of motivation to at least give it a shot and well... It was nice.

Hestia smiled at her image in the mirror before giving a turn to the others to present.

By evening the party all gathered around the table, excitement now diminished in presentation but certainly still present.

"Attention everyone" Phebis' voice boomed through the room interrupting the sound of silverware clanking against porcelain white plates.

Every head turned in attention, "we have charted a course for the city of Yongird and the Candlelight Ball, we're close enough to civilization where we should be safe so I'm putting some minions on driving duty, all of you get some rest for tomorrow".

An uproar of appreciative "thankyou"s echoed from those at the table and as everyone eagerly dug back into their meal and burst into conversation, once more passionate about tomorrow's events.
