The Forbidden: A Sam and Colby Story

Chapter 3

Sam, Corey, and Jake left for the party so i decided to sit in the living room and continue watching "Zac and Mia" when i hear a light knock on the door.
Colby: oh hey. um i went to the store and picked up your favorite snacks and drinks.
Y/n: thanks Colby
i smile at him and invite him in.
Y/n: so is Jake still mad at you?
Colby: i don't think so
Y/n: okay
Colby: whatcha watching
Y/n: oh um "Zac and Mia" do you wanna watch it with me.
Colby: yea sure
we sit on the couch for a few hours and finish the show. by the time we finish it's 10pm. i look over and see Colbys eyes full of tears.
Y/n: Colby... are you... crying.
i start to laugh
Colby: no..
he looks away embarrassed. we both start laughing when we lock eyes.
Y/n: um do you wanna watch a scary movie?
Colby: uh yea sure
after 20 minutes trying to pick a movie we both finally agreed to put on "Annabelle".
about 10 minutes into the movie i get a text from Jake.
Y/n: Jake, Corey, and Sam are staying at Brennen's tonight.
Colby: oh sweet.
Y/n: do you want a drink?
Colby: do you have whiteclaw?
Y/n: when don't i?
he laughs. i go to the kitchen and grab 2 white claws. i get back to the couch and hand Colby his drink.
Y/n: here you go
Colby: thanks beautiful
i smile and sit back down and continue to watch the movie.

After the Movie

Colby: hey it's getting late i should get going.
Y/n: do you wanna stay over?
Colby: wait really
Y/n: yea. Jake and Corey won't be here tonight so they don't need to know you can just leave before they come home.
Colby: okay imma go get a shower
Colby goes to the bathroom so i sit on the couch and scroll through tiktok while i wait for him to finish his shower.

20 minutes later

Colby finally comes out of the bathroom.
Y/n: what took you so long.
Colby: sorry about that i lost track of time.
Y/n: it's okay. do you wanna watch another movie?
Colby: yea sure what do you wanna watch?
Y/n: what if we watch the One Direction movie?
Colby: I LOVE THAT IDEA
Y/n: yay
we sit and watch the movie and sing every song. about half way through the video Colby puts his arm around me so i put my head on his shoulder.
Colby: thanks for inviting me over tonight.
Y/n: your welcome Colbs
we finish the movie. i stand up and head to the kitchen. i turn around and see Colby staring at me with his bright blue eyes.
Y/n: um do you need something?
Colby: uh sorry. do you have popcorn.
Y/n: yea. do you want some?
Colby: i wouldn't be asking if i didn't.
we both started laughing.
Y/n: alright smartass i'll make you some popcorn.
i put the popcorn in the microwave. after 2 minutes the popcorn is finished. i walk back to the living room and hand Colby his popcorn.
Colby: thanks beautiful.
Y/n: your welcome Colbs
he smiles at me which makes me smile back at him.

Around 2am

Y/n: it's getting late i think imma get a shower and head to bed. you can sleep in Jake's room or you can sleep in mine.
Colby: are you sure? i can just sleep on the couch.
Y/n: i'll feel bad so you can go in my room and wait til i'm out of the shower.
Colby: alright thank you Y/n.
Y/n: no problem Colbs.
i head into the bathroom and turn the shower on. i set up my bluetooth speaker and play my Random Shit playlist on shuffle. i'm singing along to "Like I'm gonna Lose You" by Meghan Tranior and John Legend when all of a sudden i hear Colby singing along as well.
holy shit he's a good singer. like a really good singer.

Colbys POV
i hear Y/n listening to Meghan Trainor and John Legend. god Y/n's voice is amazing. i keep listening and then I decide to sing along with her. the song ends so i quickly go back to her room.
End POV

After the Shower.

i dry off and get changed into my pajamas. i blow dry my hair and put it up into a messy bun. i open the bathroom door and head to my room.
Y/n: hey Colbs
Colby: oh hey
Y/n: you have a very nice voice by the way
i look over at him and he's blushing.
Colby: uh t-thank you. your voice is amazing Y/n.
Y/n: thank you Colby.
i look at him and smile.
Colby: we should get to bed.
Y/n: good idea.
Colby hops off the bed and gets on the floor.
Y/n: you don't have to sleep on the floor you know.
Colby: i don't want Jake to come home and see us in bed together.
Y/n: i can easily lock my door silly.
Colby: alright.
he stands up and slowly gets into my bed.
Y/n: um Colby.
Colby: yea what's up.
Y/n: is it okay if i cuddle you?
Colby: yea sure i don't mind.
i get cuddled up in his chest. i feel his arms wrap around me. he plays with my hair and i hear him whispering to himself.
Colby: it's okay i got you. nobody's gonna hurt you i promise.
i smile and slowly doze off into sleep.
