Hating the crowds waiting for the train, a girl sat in the corner of the platform, looking up at the sky, admiring the soft light of the waning moon. But people paid no mind to this incredibly beautiful moon. Everyone was obsessed with the glowing screen in their hand.
Suddenly, a girl cried out in shock. Everyone in the crowd looked at her; following her gaze towards the top of the tower of the cable-stayed bridge at the end of the railroad tracks, they saw the figure of a person.
"Is it a suicide?!"
People yelled out and hurried to pull up their cameras. They were like tourists in the presence of an unusual sight. Alone, the girl ran out. Ignoring the "No Trespassing" sign behind the murmur of people, she climbed over the fence. She ran as fast as she could along the railroad tracks, aiming for the cable-stayed bridge in a straight line.
I have to save them! The girl was driven by a sense of purpose. Because the girl had once witnessed a suicide just like this one before. A row of geometrically lined streetlights illuminated her path.
From the top of the huge, lit-up pylons, Ario looked down at the cityscape below, her maroon hair, navy blue skirt, and the ribbons at the hem and chest swayed in the wind. A sea of buildings towering over each other. The passing of cars and the flood of colorful lights told the story of the high civilization of this city. But the saturation and dependence on technology had led to the arrogance and conceit of the people.
Ario's brow furrowed in disgust. Even without Seere... I can see that there is a black aura swirling around this city. She closed her hazel eyes and slowly leaned back.
"Aria... I'm on my way."
In the next moment, Ario's small body was fluttering on the breeze.
