How many drinks would it take to leave with you?

~Miguel

11 p.m., the party

Keyarii and Savannah had been enjoying themselves for a few hours. But of course, it wouldn't be a night if her obsessor didn't harass Key. Tyrell was present at the party. And, in his usual manner, clout chaser was all over him like a nasty rash. He's like a hound sniffing for popularity.

They now found themselves seated in the kitchen of the house party. "What is up with that Tyrell nigga?"

"Just a clout chaser, in my opinion. He claims to like me."

"He does kind of have that vibe to him, but ion like to judge a book by its cover."
"By all means, get to know him if you like. Don't let me stop you. I just ain't fuckin with him. He's the type my brothers told me to stay away from."
"You have brothers?"
"Yeah, two, Samir and Nassir."
"While we're on the subject, how fine are your brothers?" Key showed her a group photo of them, and the look on Savannah's face said it all. "Yeah, yo brothers can get it. What Cardi said, "If he had a twin, I would let him run a train."'

"Oh my god, girl, get the fuck. ASAP." The girls busted into laughter, and Key felt like she had a friend for the first time in a while.

"I'm just saying," Savannah threw her hands up. "They some fine niggas, they single?"

"Girl—"

"I'm kidding, but I'm not, yet I am," she laughed. Key couldn't help but laugh too.

"Well, I think I'm ready to go, you?"

"You wanna go to Waffle House?"

"Ni, you know that's where people start buggin' after dark."

"That's exactly why I wanna go."

"I'm down." Just as they walked out of the kitchen, a fight broke out. Neither Key nor Savannah wanted to stay and watch, so they took off towards the front door. When they made it to the end of the front yard, they heard a shot go off, and people started screaming. The two didn't hesitate to take off running again. Neither wanted to be hit by stray bullets or be trampled by the stampede of people. Neither one of them stopped until they made it to their cars. They had parked near each other just in case something like this happened.
"Still wanna go to Waffle House?" Key asked.
"Yeah, just not on this side of town, we'a find somewhere else", she laughed.
"I'm following you, or you following me?"
"I'll follow you. Remember, I'm new here." Key nodded and got in her vehicle, turning it on. She led them to the Waffle House, which was more on her side of town.

12:55 a.m. Waffle House

When they entered the restaurant, they noticed it was not packed as they thought it would be. They found themselves a booth in one of the back corners, and it was then that Keyarii heard Ja's voice.
"Key, you, okay?"

"Yeah, I'm fine. Why you ask?"

"You were lowkey staring off into space."

"Oh, my bad. Whatchu get when you go to a Waffle House?"

"Waffles and bacon."
