Damon Wayans told me don't play that shit ~Drake All me ft. big Sean and 2chainz
After Ja finished watching the interview, he left the apartment and went to the nearest Burger King. In his opinion Burger King was underrated with their burgers. When he pulled up he saw Keisha's car and he knew it was her's because she had eyelashes on the front of the car. He shook his head and thought some things you just shouldn't do. Even though he wanted to leave he also wanted a bacon king and nobody was gonna get in the way of that. He sighed and cut the car off, getting out, knowing in the back of his mind it was gonna be some shit.
When he walked in, she looked up and noticed him. She smiled hoping he would return the favor. His quick glance at her shifted to the counter. Keisha's face fell and she replaced her attention to her friends conversation.
Once Ja finished ordering he felt a presence come up behind him and he didn't have to turn around to know it was Keisha. He turned around to face her and she looked up at him.
"Hey."
"What girl?"
"I can't just speak to you now?"
"In public? No you cannot."
"Why you being like that Ja?"
"I have no obligation to respect you when you won't even respect yourself. So imma ask again what do you want?"
"For you to come over." Ja looked at his phone and a text from Keyarii popped up asking to FaceTime later. He was most def down for that.
"No."
"You busy later or something?"
"No."
"So why not?"
"Cause I plan to be on FaceTime later and it's not with you."
"But I thought—"
"You thought what? Please gon somewhere cause you real life embarrassing yourself in front of your friends."
"Ja—"
"What Keisha damn? I'm tryna get my food and go home but yo nagging ass in steady in my fuckin way. Back the fuck up outta my face." He turned back around and grabbed his food since they had called his number a few minutes ago.
Ja left the restaurant and Keisha returned back to her table with her friends.
"Damn sis he played the fuck outta you."
"Shut up he just did that cause he seen y'all here."
"Ion think he like you, like you say."
"Cherice why you hatin?"
"Hate on what? I'm being honest with you. Nobody else at the table is, don't be mad at me cause the baller you claimed you scored is doggin you out."
"Whatever you don't know what you're talking about."
"Suit yourself," Cherice shrugged her shoulders.
2 am Keyarii
About an hour ago the Sinclair's got back home after Sammy's big win over the Celtics. It was a close game but they pulled it out in the final minutes of the game. After getting ready for bed she called Ja and much to her surprise he was still up.
"Why you not sleep point god?"
"I been up studying film and such. I could be asking you the same ain't no way y'all just now getting back from the game."
"We got back around an hour ago but I had to get myself ready for bed and ready to go in the morning."
"So how was the game, ma?"
"To me they're all the same."
"How?"
"I've been going to NBA games since I was born and the hype for me is no longer in it. I mean I'm use to the big dunks and the huge highlight moments."
"You've seen me play?"
"Since high school."
"I know I asked once before but Whatchu think about my game? You think the hype there?"
"Like I said before you got a lil ways to go but I think it is. College and high school ball is different and more exciting than NBA ball. When you at those levels you tryna go the hardest and show out to be at the next level. In the NBA they don't do the same shit they did in the college, to me the players lose their "WOW" because they made it so they feel like ain't shit else for them to do. But, I think your draft class could bring some excitement. Don't get me wrong my brother has that "it" factor but if he doesn't constantly work to be better he'll lose it."
Ja bobbed his head in agreeance, "I like that but I'm not sure if I'm going to the draft."
"The way the media puts it, seems like you are."
"I wanna go but at the same time I feel like it's something still left in my college career."
"You got plenty of time to make a decision."
"I know that much but I really think this season is gonna determine where I go."
"Put your all into this season then."
"I plan to, I always do."
"If we being real you be lousy on defense sometimes."
"Ouch." Keyarii shrugged her shoulders.
"I said what I said. And you should see that for yourself.""Ight then so what was it like growing up with THE Keion Sinclair?"
"You real life sound like a fan to me right about now, yo."
"Everybody's a fan of Keion Sinclair but not everybody get to be involved with the people who knew him best. I just wanna know what it was like."
"My dad was the greatest father in the world to me, he made time for his kids and if he couldn't he always found ways to make up for it. He supported us in everything we did and for me he never hesitated to break the bank, as he would say. But, I mean there were times it got annoying being his child. You got cameras on you when you go out, media trying to paint your father to be something he's not, people were crazy too, until eventually my daddy did whatever he could to protect us and especially me. Since you asked me, what was it like growing up with your dad?"
"My dad was known but not as known, like I've mentioned before he turned down the NBA to be a father to me. It was never any resentment and the moment I picked up a basketball, he put his all into being the one training me. He was a good father and he was tough too but without that I wouldn't be where I'm at."
"I feel like we interviewing each other."
"Just getting to know each other more than we did at Fazoli's."
"Yeah, I guess so."
"One thing though that I really can't get off my mind is how you haven't been in my circle before now. It really bothers me."
"I'm in it now right?"
"Yeah and I would like to hang some more."
"Heard ju."
"You cool with that or...?"
"I said heard ju." She thought for a minute and then realized he might not have understand the slang. "Yeah it's cool."
"Good."
"You got hoes?"
"Why is it "you got hoes" and never "how can I be on the list?"'
"I'm not a hoe and don't have any interest on being one."
"I can tell, a girl like you ain't gonna have herself out here with no respect."
"Hmmm well Goodnight Ja."
"Goodnight but wait PUT YA PUSSY LIPS ON LIVE, I'LL GIVE YOU A THOUSAND DOLLAS, before you go." Keyarii cracked up laughing, he didn't sound like Boosie but it was just as funny.
"Boy please."
"I'm just fuckin withchu ma, goodnight and don't forget my plate next time you cook."
"I won't, night." She hung up the phone with a smile on her face. She cut off her bedside lamp and flipped over. She was finally going to sleep at close to 4 in the morning.
