"so, are you going to tell me why you decided to go for a walk in the middle of winter without even bringing a coat?" johnny asked while looking down at the younger.

"you don't need to know that. it isn't important" ten replied, keeping his eyes glued on the ground in front of him.

"of course it's important!"

"no it isn't johnny."

"oh come on, you're no fun," johnny joked, bending down slightly to see a bit of ten's face.

it was quiet for a few moments. the only sound coming from the soft crunches of the boys' shoes against the previously untouched snow. ten slowly lifted his gaze before speaking.

"i'm sorry"

johnny thought for a moment before replying,

"sorry about what?"

"i know i'm boring. honestly johnny, just go home. i won't mind."

johnny's eyes widened.

"oh god, ten no! i was only joking i'm sorry."

ten stopped walking and looked towards johnny.

"no you weren't. and even if you were, you're right. so please just go home. you deserve better than to have to spend your saturday night freezing because you feel sorry for me."

ten began to take off the gloves so he could return them to johnny, that way the older could bring his stuff back home without having to see ten again.

"hey, don't you dare try to take those off." johnny said jokingly, but with a serious tone. ten didn't listen, he ignored the older and pulled off the first glove. as he moved to take the second off he felt a pair of large hands grab his small ones. effectively stopping him from returning the gloves.

ten sighed, then looked in to johnny's eyes in defeat.
