The Trail (johnten)

ten's cheeks flushed at johnny's words as a smile crept onto his lips. 

ten didn't know how, but johnny somehow eased his pain. the older could say a few simple words and suddenly the voices in ten's head were completely silenced. ten used his free hand to grab the jacket from johnny's outstretched arm. the taller let go of ten's small wrist so he could put on the jacket.

once ten zipped up his jacket he noticed johnny sighing at himself,

"damn! i forgot to grab gloves for us!"

"that's okay,"

"no, ten, it isn't. your hands are going to freeze!"

"i'm sure we can find a way to avoid that," ten said while smiling, completely forgetting the reason he was walking down the trail in the first place.

"what? how-" johnny was cut off as a small hand grabbed his large one. he was confused at first until he looked down to see ten hiding his blush while squeezing johnny's hand.

after a few moments johnny cut the comfortable silence.

"do you want to keep walking then?" johnny asked, gesturing to the trail.

"actually, not really. is it alright if we go back to your house?"

"of course," johnny smiled. he wasn't going to lie; he would love to spend the rest of the morning with ten in his arms. as the two began walking the short way back to johnny's, hand in hand, a question popped into the taller's head.

"ten?"

"yeah?"

"where were you going?"

"what?"

"i mean, what's at the end of the trail? i've never been down there and i'm just wondering why you want to go down there."

"oh, uh," ten paused to think, "well, i guess we'll just have to go down there one day so you can see for yourself."

and with that, the boys reached johnny's house. they immediately changed back into their night clothes and laid back in johnny's bed. this time with johnny laying on his back, ten's head rested on the american's chest as they watched the tv at the end of johnny's bed. 

ten began to doze off once again as he felt a hand run soothingly through his hair, glad to feel so safe once again.

hey guys,

i think i might end this story soon. there was going to be a few more plot points but im starting to lose motivation fir this story and have an idea for a markhyuck fic but want to finish this first. so i'll probably only go until chapter 4.0 (or maybe 5.0 ???but most likely 4.0)
