AN: Sorry for the delay! The storm was tough for us in Texas, and there was a power outage, but now I give you my new poem. A reminder, please leave a comment because comments mean a lot to me. Enjoy!

I woke up one morning
And found myself in a blackout
My expectations for that day
Had just received a knockout
In that light-less house
I poured myself cereal
I had to recognize
This wasn't normal day material
3 ½ hours later, we learned something new
Before this, it seemed out of the blue
To go to our neighbor's house to learn
To shovel snow
That Monday, we did it and got hot cocoa
As that day went on, we played games
Taboo, Monopoly Millionaire, and Laser Tag
That day started to feel fun
And not like a crappy drag.
8 hours passed, not a single spark
8 hours passed and it was kinda dark
That's why we screamed when on came the light
I naively thought, "We'll have it on all night!"
But the light came off, fast as the Flash
And I got so annoyed
What I thought would be reality
Was now null and void.
But in the end, it was fine
Us sleeping downstairs, it was divine
Process went on, 'til Wednesday, hooray!
'Twas different but fine that week
Even if it wasn't a sitch that I'd seek.
