His eyes were so beautiful, the green had so much depth and dimension; the world was melded into them and you could see everything within. They were a crystal ball and nobody ever wanted to look away. To tear your eyes away for even a second insighted the fear that everything would cease, the world would end and death would take us all.
Like a lit match thrown into the ocean, the flame was extinguished and the light that once held the world, dwindled to nothingness. The darkness that had settled encompassed him and filled him up; his soul died. He was born anew. His words were no longer melodies strung together on string made of silk, but acidulous cacophonies sewn lazily on frayed rope. And his mind was a caliginous thing that no one would dare venture into. He was resented by the person he had become and he had come to resent all.The boy I once loved eternally, now feared. It was every molecular structure of his body had been undone and each strand of DNA unwound and altered into something that would make the devil himself grimace.
