IN WHICH THE ORDER OF THE PHEONIX HAS ITS FIRST MEETING
NUMBER 12, Grimmauld Place was grim. There was nothing else that could describe it.
"How do you like it?" Sirius questions, taking in a deep breath. "Smells like pureblood supremacy." He stepped in the house, as Roselie and Remus looked at Sirius worriedly, before walking in.
"Aubery, you go upstairs, 1st room to the right, on the second floor." Roselie orders. "And stay there."
"Mum!" Aubery complains.
"You can go write to your friends, but don't come down here," Roselie says.
"Dad-" Aubery turns to her dad.
"Sorry Aubery, but you have to stay in your room." Remus orders.
"Indeed. Or are you so entitled because your cousin is the Chosen One, that you feel inferior to stay in a room." Snape drawls from behind her.
"That's enough, Severus," Roselie glares. "I seriously don't know why Lily was friends with you."
"Or should I say, Snivellus." Sirius taunts.
Snape fingers his wand, but does nothing, before passing by Aubery and walking to the kitchen.
Aubery pursed her lips, before grabbing her trunk and walking it to the second floor and into the first room to the right, before coming back down to get Kevin. Walking up to her room, before stopping when she saw a little house-elf walking in the room.
"Master has brought new people in the house. Oh, how would my mistress be disgraced by the filth that has stepped in the Noble House of Black." He mutters, not noticing Aubery and Kevin, sliding out of the room.
"I see you've met Kreacher," Dumbledore says, making Aubery look at the old headmaster.
"Professor. What does he mean by-" Aubery trails off, staring at Kreacher, and being reminded terribly of SPEW. She loved Hermione, but SPEW was not it.
"Kreacher is old, so we just need to treat him with respect. More about something else. You are going to send letters to your friends and Harry, am I correct?" Dumbledore replies.
"Yes." Aubery nods.
"Then I must implore you not to send anything about the Order of the Pheonix, lest someone intercepts the letter," Dumbledore replies, smiling serenely.
"But-" Aubery starts.
"No buts, Miss Lupin. Now, I must take my leave. The first meeting is commencing. Molly, Arthur, and Bill Weasley should be here soon, and then later, the rest of the Weasleys and Hermione. See you soon." Dumbledore walks out of the room, closing it behind her.
Aubery stares at the bleak walls, and sets Kevin on a desk, before sneezing at the amount of dust in the place, setting her wand on the desk.
Sitting on the bed, she yelped, jumping up, before a thick mound of dust covered her senses, making her sneeze uncontrollably. She inwardly cursed at the blasted house, before opening up Kevin's cage, and letting him out. Walking to a dusty window, Aubery tried to open it, before getting a full face of dust in her face.
Coughing loudly, she pushed the window open with a loud creak, and Kevin rushed out into the open night.
"Bloody hell." Aubery coughing, pacing around the room to get away from the dust. Soon, she decided to leave the room, exploring all of the other rooms, jumping at any sort of noise that wasn't normal. Rats scurrying under her feet, and eyes watching her as she moved up the stairs, before walking back downstairs, dust covering most of her features and clothes, as the sheer amount of dust in any room could make anyone die of dust inhalation. If that was even a thing.
"How dirty... just like the blood that has started to live under this threshold." Kreacher says, staring up at Aubery as he clutched his dirty loincloth, and slinked away, muttering obscenities under his mouth. Aubery's green eyes darted from the bottom of the stairs to a door at the end of the hall, with light pooling at the bottom.
Someone opened the door, tripping over something, setting off something Aubery could only compare to a bomb, as the dust blew towards Aubery, covering her in yet another layer of fine dust.
The curtains on something Aubery thought was a window swept open, stirring up more dust, and began screaming, as the other little portraits started screaming as well.
"FLITH! CHILDREN OF FLITH! FREAKS! DIRTY HALF-BREEDS! STAINS OF DISHONOR UPON THE FAMILY!"
"Get it off!" Tonks yells, furiously firing spells at the ugly woman, who began screaming even louder.
"OH, HOW HAVE YOU DISHONORED THE NOBLE HOUSE OF BLACK!" The ugly woman continued screaming, as the door was blasted open, and members of the Order pooled out in the room, firing Stunning spells at the pictures, as two other people furiously tried to close the curtain to the window.
"Sorry! I just tripped on the... troll's foot?" Tonks questions, looking at the severed item.
Finally, the ugly woman was silenced, as Sirius whipped out his wand, and blasted the window, closing the curtains quickly.
"I see that everyone has met my mother." Sirius smiles wryly, as the other people sigh, shaking their head.
"Molly, may you start dinner?" Dumbledore questions. "I can get your kids and Hermione."
"Oh, of course!" Mrs. Weasley smiles, nodding as Dumbledore walks out of the door. "Mundungus Fletcher, you better not smoke that in here, not in front of anyone!"
Mundungus Fletcher was a short, dirty man, who scowled at Molly Weasley, before putting the pipe in his bag. "Who the dust monster?" Pointing at Aubery.
"What? Oh my!" Molly yelps, turning to meet Aubery. "Dear goodness darling, what did you do?"
"There was a lot of dust when I went exploring," Aubery replies.
"You look like you've got in trouble." Sirius smiles, ruffling Aubery's dust-filled hair warmly, before coughing at the dust that lifted in the air.
"Don't encourage her Sirius, she's absolutely covered head to toe!" Roselie scolds, grabbing her daughter's hand.
"What was in Sirius's house? I've always wondered as a kid." Remus smiles cheekily, staring at Sirius.
"Nothing really huge, y'know." Sirius waved his hand around nonchalantly.
"Definitely something, I think I heard buzzing in some of the curtains, and something banging in a desk. There are also rats and I think there may be a nest of them." Aubery informs as Mrs. Weasley shivered at the information.
"The next day we are going to be cleaning up this house." Mrs. Weasley orders.
"Come on, let's go take a shower," Roselie says. "We'll go to our house, is that fine by you Sirius?"
"Mhm. See ya later Rosie, Aubs." Sirius waves, as Aubery and her mother, stepped out of the house and Apparated away.
