Classes with Professor Lupin were a real treat. Studying red caps and grindylows was a piece of cake for Aubery.
"Nice work Aubery," Remus replies, walking next to her desk where she was writing the essay on kappas.
"Thanks, dad." Aubery let it slip before she knew what she was saying. Silence. Harry looks panicked. "Why is everyone staring at me?"
"You just called Professor Lupin 'Dad'. You said 'Thanks dad'" Hermione replies.
"What? No, I didn't, I said 'Thanks man'" Aubery scoffs.
"Do you see me as a father figure Aubery?" Lupin asks, quickly diverting the topic.
"No! If anything I see you as a bother figure, 'cause you're always bothering me." Aubery scoffs, as Harry looked down at his paper quickly, stifling laughs.
"Hey! Show your father some respect!" Dean says.
"I didn't call him dad!" Aubery answers.
"No, no, no, no, Aubery, I take it as a compliment." Lupin shook his head, laughing in the inside.
"It's not a big deal. I called Vivian 'Mom' once and she's my girlfriend." A Hufflepuff boy answers.
"Guys, jump on that! He has psycho-sexual issues!" Aubery points to the canary-yellow area.
"Old news! But you calling Professor Lupin, 'Daddy'" Lavender smiles.
"Hey! 'Daddy' is not on the table here." Aubery looked frightened and Lupin had a face of the utmost surprise.
"But you did call him 'dad'" Draco calls out.
"You shut up, you've done nothing but make trouble since you got here." Aubery answers.
"But I mean, you guys look the same slightly, same last name, same plucky build, same wave, virtually the same hair, you guys are really cool and nice." Ron points out.
"Oh yeah." Seamus nods.
"No, no. Lupin's a pretty common last name right." Aubery answers.
"No, it's not." Hermione shakes her heads.
"Oh, look at the time! You better go off to your next class!" Professor Lupin answers, and Aubery sighs in relief.
