IV

(Shorter Chapter)

"Oh you're back!" Titan's mom exclaims as she sees me sitting at their kitchen island.

"Yep. I missed your cookies" I say, eating one of them that was placed on the table. Titan hits my arm and takes the cookie from me.

"What?" I whine, and reach for the cookie. He eats the rest in front of me causing me to gasp. Titan rolls his eyes and gives me another one. He could've just got his own. My poor cookie. Oh well, I have another one. Titan's mom chuckles at our exchange and sits next to me.

"How often are you going to be coming over? I'd love to bake more for you and Titan."

"My house is too quiet and boring, i'd like to come over more often if that's cool with you and Titan."

Titan and his mom look at each other for a long minute and turn their attention back to me.

"We'd love to have you here."

"Sweet! Your baking will bring me here any day!" this time Titan gasps.

"What about me?" I look away from his mom and then at him before shrugging.

"Oh yeah! You too."

Titan crosses his arms and looks away from me. I didn't know my little warrior was such a baby. His mom nudges me and I raise my eyebrows in confusion. What am I supposed to do? She glances at Titan and I nod, even though i'm still confused on what I can do.

I go over to Titan and wrap my arms around him. I squeeze him a little and whisper in his ear,

"Little warrior you know i'd come over even if you didn't ask me to. Your mom's baking isn't the only thing that'll send me running here."

Titan blushes wildly and looks up at me.

"Really?"

"Of course, why would I lie about that?"

"I don't know.." I hug him even tighter and ruffle his hair before letting him go. Usually, I would be all awkward and would never hug someone. But, like I mentioned before, he's just different.

"Well, it's true. So stop pouting dumb dumb."

Titan nods and sits in his spot, happily and eating another cookie.

"Are you two still trying to convince me and yourselves that you're just friends" Titan's mom interrupts. What does she mean by that? Are we not friends?

"Mom!" Titan blushes and pulls his mom into another room. My phone buzzes and it's the elders. What could they possibly want right now? Besides bash me some more and talk for ages about stuff that isn't important one bit.

"Hello?"

"Amaria! We need you here right now, it's important!"

What could be that important right now?

"What is it?"

"It's rogues! They've infiltrated our area and two elders have already died, we need you! You're our queen!"

Now they need me when they're all about to die. I'm still the queen, and being the queen has its duties. Like saving the elders from dying. Rogues are the vampires that don't know how to control themselves and are shunned by other vampires. They're truly cold hearted killers.

"I'll be there. Try to hold off for now" I hang up, before they could even answer and hurriedly put on my jacket. Titan and his mom are still in the living area. Running out to them, Titan looks at me in confusion while his mom walks away with a smile on her face.

"I have to go, i'll see you tomorrow at school" I say, still rushing and pull him into a hug.

"I thought you didn't do school...is it because of what my mom said?" he asks, worriedly. I shake my head and pull away from him.

"No, no it's not that. My grandma called and she needs help."

"Oh okay."

I grab his face and kiss him on the cheek while also getting the corner of his mouth. He blushes and I run out yelling bye.

"Bye.." I hear him mumble.
