george back story timeeee
tw- family issues, aggressive thoughts but not that extreme
——————An excruciating ringing erupted from George's phone, it was 7 am. He had a morning shift that day and he wasn't very pleased with it. Niki was out of the city helping her parents move and George happened to be the one having to take her shift. He hit snooze.
—————
Five minutes later another ring sounded from his phone and he hit what he assumed was a snooze but he answered a phone call from his father instead. He hasn't seen that man in years, no calls, no texts, no contact. George could visit or text him anytime but he hasn't. A burning hatred for his father lived in him every day, he hated he was even related to that disgusting man. When George was angry he hated how he looked like his father, he hated that he even remotely had his hand shape, his eyebrows were similar too. When was the last time he looked in his father's eyes? He couldn't look, he wanted to punch him when he did. Whenever someone commented that he looked like his father he was furious, he wanted to be nothing like that man. What he did, what he didn't do, it hurts George and he is sure it hurt his mother too. Being unready for this talk George hung up and blocked the number. There was never going to be a time when he was ready. Was he ever going to be?Harold, his father was in jail at the time of his birth. Like normal, he got put in there for selling drugs, harassment, and beating people up in general. George was lucky he didn't have his last name, he didn't have to be him. His mother didn't write his name on the birth certificate, it was just her and he loved that. Maple didn't want Harold to have any custody over George saying "If he takes my child I want it to legally be a kidnapping. I want him to have no authority or part in George's life." His mother didn't tell him much about him before jail but the things she told him as he got older were horrible.
Maple split from George's father right when he went to jail. She hid from him, shielding her son. But soon enough, Harold was back from jail when George was 6. His father appeared to become a better man when he was back but he just changed his tricks. Harold was able to take George every few days from home spoiling him. George had fallen for it for years until he was 10. All those girls his dad went through George had to say bye to. They were all just memories now, he truly cared for those women and wanted to see them again. He couldn't, and he knew it would be best for them to not have to tolerate or be harassed by his own father again. So the next people that came he didn't bother until this one. This one stayed. She was rich, snobby but she wasn't horrible. Her daughter, Annabelle, was spoiled and short-tempered. Everyone there just judged George. He still tried to open up and accept them, if his father was happy he would at least try for him. All that lead to was him getting pushed around, George didn't mind though.
On one vacation, his father proposed. George had no idea, his father didn't ask him how he felt about it, he just made a permanent spot for her in his life. He was forced to accept them, getting in trouble if he didn't call that woman his mom, she was nothing like his mom. It was clear Annabelle was a favorite, she got presents and was spoiled more every day. That was when George stopped seeing them as much. He hasn't gotten any presents on his birthday, Christmas, or any holiday since his father met her. It was all Belle this, Belle that. She wasn't at fault. Yeah, George was hurt but how could he be mad? It wasn't his family, right? They got a house, they were happy. So it was fine, if George stopped loving them it was fine. And so, he did. He moved on from them. His father never paid child support, his mother had really needed it but the family was there for them.
George was the oldest cousin, he saw everyone grow up before his eyes. He was nothing like his father, he tried so hard to do everything and anything his father did and didn't do. Everyone loved him in his family, George grew up earlier than almost everyone in his school. Good grades, good school, good manners, he did everything for his family. Hanging out with his aunts and uncles while listening to their problems. He took care of all of his younger cousins, he understood them more than their parents ever could. George taught them, played with them, he talked about their feelings. Everything he wanted others to help him with but never received. Who would listen to his problems?
All his friends were online, often years older than him. He had the same mindset as them, maybe older. It was a good thing though right? He understood, he experienced, he felt. What more was there? George knew he was pushing his anxiety, depression, and constant swirling thoughts down and that it would all blow up. It was fine though, to him at least. It was okay, he would blow up in his own time, for now, he would help others.
