But the midwives had far too much respect for God and didn’t do what the king of Egypt ordered; they let the boy babies live. The king of Egypt called in the midwives. “Why didn’t you obey my orders? You’ve let those babies live!” The midwives answered Pharaoh, “The Hebrew women aren’t like the Egyptian women; they’re vigorous. Before the midwife can get there, they’ve already had the baby.” God was pleased with the midwives. The people continued to increase in number—a very strong people. And because the midwives honored God, God gave them families of their own.

The midwife showed her honor to God. King of Egypt ordered her but she obeyed the King of all kings. Wow. Kung nasa sitwasyon ako na uutusan ako ng isang taong nirerespeto rin dito sa mundo na hindi naman will ng Lord, ano kayang gagawin ko? Honestly, magkakaroon pa rin ako ng hesitation e. I'm not sad nor disappointed to tell God that, He knows my flaws, that I still have some doubt, but the very thing about my confession to God is that I want to entrust Him my actions rather than to mine.

No matter how much we do our job and what position we are in this world, kung mali na mali na and we shouldn't tolerate that. Midwife, her job is to help women give birth and even if the greatest or the most powerful human ordered her to do wrong, she will stand not because of her job but because of her greatest respect onto God. Grabe noh.

With that, God was pleased towards her action. Sana kaya ko rin. Sana kung dumating man 'yung time na mapunta ako sa ganitong sitwasyon, hindi ko malimutan kung sino 'yung tunay kong pinagsisilbihan. Lord, let me do what the midwife did. Hindi dahil sa kung anong posisyon o estado ko rito sa mundo kaya ko pipiliing gawin 'yung tama instead, gagawin ko 'yun kasi Ikaw 'yung pinaglilingkuran ko.
