⋇⋆✦⋆⋇ ⋇⋆✦⋆⋇Something about surviving a universal genocide, had left the survivors in a strange state. They simultaneously had to deal with their immense grief and the aftermath of everything collapsing. One would think that the survivors would be able to manage grief well.
They didn't.
The door of Louisa's bathroom creaked open. "Hey, gauntlet's ready....Bruce's gonna snap his fingers....." Tony trailed off, neck craned so he was not looking into the private room. "Are you coming?"
Louisa didn't answer, her hearing aids had long been taken out. When Tony didn't receive an answer he wanted to scold her before realising why. The man covered his eyes with his hand and walked into the room which effectively gained the young adult's attention.
"Yes?"
Tony closed his eyes and signed what he had just said. Louisa harshly bit her lip before saying a quick yes, after which Tony left her alone to get changed. The young woman pulled herself out of the bath and dried off her body before changing into her clothes from earlier and putting in her hearing aids with a slight wince.
She stumbled out of her bedroom to see Tony sitting on her bed, eyeing the plain white walls. "Maybe you should think about getting some wall decor, I'm sure Morgan wouldn't mind drawing you some," Tony mumbled. He clasped his hands together and bit his lip.
Louisa crossed her arms and leaned against the doorframe. "I don't stay here very often," She looked around. "I will stay even less if our plan works."
Tony looked up and smiled sadly at her. "Yeah, well you still have to stop by the farm at least once a month. Morgan has attachment issues already." Louisa's lip curled up slightly before she looked down, quickly blinking away tears. She wiped her nose harshly with her sleeve and looked away.
"I just spent an hour calling all those freaking Black Widow Houses. They just kept condoling me, it's pathetic."
Tony looked up from his fumbling fingers before getting up and striding towards Louisa. He reached out, resting a warm hand on her shoulder. Louisa looked up at him, raising a brow, pretending that she was fine. "Let's go kid, we got universes to save, yeah?"
She nodded her head, small droplets of water falling from her damp hair. "Let's make her death worth it." Tony pulled Louisa into a quick side hug. She didn't reach out to punch or slap him in any way.
The pair walked into the room where the other Avengers stood. Bruce was holding a nanotech gauntlet, which seemed tony in his bulky green hands.
