Simone's POV

As I was touching up my work, I hear a gasp behind me, making me jump out of my seat and almost knock my work off.

I turn to see Pete, who's eyes have widen, he definitely wasn't meaning to scare me but here I am leaning and holding my chest. Asshole.

"Pete, I swear to God you need to stop coming here without letting me know! At least knock on the damn door!" I scold him frowning as I stood up and took off my dirty apron.

I hear him chuckle as I walk over to the rack and hang the apron.

"I'm too lazy to text and besides I'm only here for a couple of hours! I like surprising you." He says dragging the 'you' for a definite seconds. I roll my eyes at him as I turn to the sink and started washing my hands.

"Oh come on! Stop being mad and clean yourself because we're going out!" He says excitedly and I sigh as I finish washing my hands. Ugh, paint is still stuck underneath my nails.

I turn around and face him, "I don't have any clothes with me so you're gonna walk around with a woman like this." I say pointing into my pants thats covered in fresh paint.

I really don't understand how I still get paint on my pants even if i'm wearing the darn apron. I dont care anyways.

"Ugh you are disgusting girl." He threw his hands and acted like he was so disgusted. I roll my eyes again as I started drying myself off. I took a napkin and cleaned the fresh paint off my pants but it only made it worse that it was already.

"Seriously, you need to bring a whole closet here. This place needs some upgrade too." He says as his eyes wander around my studio. I chuckle shaking my head before proceeding into the bathroom to freshen up a little.

I work at an art studio.Well, I own this art studio. I know, some may say that this is not the best option to earn money but I'm actually doing fine right now with this. The first year, I was struggling so bad to the point that I just wanted to close this place. Luckily, I didn't give up so easily and fought hard to sell my pieces at a great amount too.

Turns out there are lots of people who wants to see me paint and also buy my artworks. Sometimes, people would come here to watch me paint, they would leave tips which I'm not really sure why but I thank them enough too and always invite them to come back whenever.

Most of the people who buy my pieces are those who live outside Wyoming. Take Los Angeles as an example. People in California, loves paintings at their homes and I always get these emails and dm's about the artworks that they've dreamt about and wanted it to come to life. I never say no.

Sometimes I find myself working from seven in the morning till midnight. I live alone in my small rental home, so I definitely have more freedom to work.

I made sure to not use my hands to wash my face, instead I use wipes as plan B to clean my face.

After that, I step out of the bathroom and found Pete sitting on my glory chair. I call it glory because its where the magic starts.

He looks up from his phone and smiles widely.

"Come look at this." He urges me to come, signaling with his hand to walk faster. I shake my head, and stood behind him looking past his head to see what he was showing me.

It was a video of a guy, standing over a pool of water with a piano behind him and also water coming out of it.

"Who's this?" I ask and he plays the video. I didn't get a response because he was too eager to watch it.
