[After the events of Age of Ultron]
[Pietro’s POV]
It’s surprisingly boring standing in the living room area of Avengers compound, listening to Tony introduce you and your twin sister to the people you haven’t had the privilege of meeting yet. So far we’ve met:Tony, Steve, Natasha, Clint, Bruce (who’s gone at the moment), Thor (who's also gone), Rhodey, and Fury. Stark is now introducing us to Fury’s right hand woman Maria Hill, and a friend of Steve’s; Sam Wilson.
After the introductions we were all sent off to do what we please but Natasha and Clint decided to stay and help me and Wanda find our rooms. The room I was given was quite empty (probably to give me space to decorate it with my hobbies), the walls were grey, there were floor-to-ceiling length windows on one wall, the floor was dark brown hardwood covered mostly by a fluffy white carpet. The bed was queen sized on the left side along the far wall of the room underneath shelves. The shelves had books on them but other than that they were pretty empty.
Although we beat Ultron and I’m technically an Avenger now I’m still pretty sad about what happened last year…

{FLASHBACK}

My sister and I had just arrived at the HYDRA base last week, and we were starting our training this week. Wanda and I had been the only ones to survive the tests which made everyone ecstatic.
When we arrived at the training room we were met with Strucker and a gorgeous y/h/c haired girl standing shyly next to him. We walked over to him and he introduced us to her, “Pietro, Wanda, this is Y/n, she is the ONLY other person to survive the tests. Y/n these are the twins. You will will be training them and teaching them how to use their abilities since you have experience in that field. Ok?” Y/n just nodded her head yes, without looking up at Strucker, her body language suggested that she was afraid of him.
After Strucker left I held my hand out for her to shake, but she ignored it and turned away while telling us what we were going to do that day. I was a little offended but I guessed she had her reasons for being so reserved so I let it go.
Over the next week of trying to get her to talk to me (and all of the attempts being ignored), I decided to make it my mission to get her to talk to me, hell I’d even settle for a small smile at me! Anyway, after another week of unsuccessful attempts she was appointed to bringing us our food daily, and she was told to stay with us while we ate (something Strucker had her doing to make sure we stayed healthy). “So, Y/n, why are you so afraid of Strucker?” My sister was probably the only person I’ve seen so far that could get her to talk. “I didn’t choose to be here like you two did. I was brought here by my parents a few years ago, and because I was only 15 I had no say in the choice. I've tried to leave or break out of here a lot and every time I did Strucker had more tests done on me, and he never gave me anything for the pain, said it should teach me not to do again, and that every time I didn’t learn he'd turn me into more and more of a monster…” A faint smile completely filled with pain started to make it’s way onto her face. That’s why she doesn’t talk much…Strucker probably scared her into compliance.
Over the next few months since that day she became more open with Wanda and I, until one day she just wasn’t around anymore. When we asked people they told us she wasn’t needed anymore so she was merely given away to a different HYDRA facility. This information pissed me off beyond belief because right when I was becoming close to her- when she was opening up to me, they send her away!
After that Wanda became more hesitant around the subject of girls because whenever it was brought up I got upset.

{PRESENT DAY}

I was sitting in the kitchen, spaced out when I felt someone patting me on my shoulder. I looked behind me and saw Steve, “Hey, kid, we’re doing a briefing in like 10 minutes, don’t be late…You okay?” He sounded worried, probably because I don’t just stop and stare at a wall for a half hour at a time. “Yea, I’m alright Captain, just…thinking.” He looked like he had something else to say but he decided not to push it.

{1 MONTH LATER}
[Y/n’s POV]

It’s been a year and half since Strucker sent me away from Sokovia, to work with HYDRA in Washington D.C. a few  months back when S.H.I.E.L.D fell, HYDRA fell to, because they had mostly taken over S.H.I.E.L.D. While in HYDRA I became pretty close to their other victim, Sergeant James Buchanan Barnes, Bucky for short. When they were done with him they tossed him to the side, I used one of my abilities to heal him and give him his memories back- until they wiped him again. He and I became very close friends, I told him about Pietro, and Wanda, and he told me about Steve and the 1930’s-40’s. When S.H.I.E.L.D/HYDRA fell we left town together, we went to Bucharest to lie low. And it worked for the most part until Bucky’s old friend Steve (who we knew was looking for him) actually found him. Now we’re on our way to the Avengers compound, why? I have no idea.
When we got to the compound I stayed close to Bucky and when I saw him shaking, I grabbed his hand and it eased his nerves sort of. The last thing I expected to see when we walked into the common area was a familiar face. Pietro. There he was, standing before me once again, and looking just as shocked as I.

[Pietro’s POV]

'Oh my god. It’s Y/n. It’s really her…but she’s holding…him. Are they together? Did she just, move on from me? Oh who am I kidding, we didn’t have anything special. I thought we did but maybe we didn’t…' When she did finally see me she looked shocked, and their were tears welling up in her eyes. Maybe she thought we had something special too after all?

[Y/n’s POV]

“Y-y/n? I-is that you?” The way he asked the question made it sound like he didn’t believe I was real. “Yea, yea it’s me.” A wide smile made it’s way onto my face. He ran over and hugged me, I let go of Bucky’s hand to hug Pietro back. “My god, I've missed you so much." There was so much pain in his voice but at the same time there was so much relief. I felt a wetness on my shoulder that was most likely him crying but I didn't care because I was crying as well. "I've missed you to Pietro, more than you know..."
