I look at the watch on the wall, and I'm so late for potions class. However, I'm so... I don't even know what I am. I just feel anger. I walk to the potions class in the basement, and don't even knock. I just walk into the classroom sitting down in the back of the class at the bench next to Jenn. I take out my books, and look up, not even bothering saying something.
Jenn looks surprised at me.
"Are you alright?" She whispers. I smile quickly at her and nod. "Your face is bright red. Are you sure, you're okay?" She repeats, and I turn to her. "Yes, I'm okay." I say, making sure, she doesn't have to worry. She strokes my arm, and turns away facing her book again. I look down at my notes about potions fumbling around in which one Snape's teaching about today. As I search through the pages, some of them land on the floor. I roll my eyes and take deep breaths. How could Remus say that to me? What does he even know about me? I shouldn't have told him about Cora... And what makes him think, he can talk to me like that? I curse at him in my mind.
"Why are you late?" I hear Severus' voice in front of me, after I picked up my notes from the floor. "Sorry, sir, won't happen again." I sigh. I need to get my thoughts together. I shake my head to reorganize my priorities in my mind.
"Hmm." Severus says, looking concerned at me. I sent him a quick smile, before looking down at my notes again.A knock on the door to the classroom breaks my concentration on brewing a potion with Jenn. It's a simple one, but I like brewing potions, plus my mind is focussing on this instead of everything around me. Potions need full focus, or else they'll fail at their use.
I look behind me, and see Remus walking up to Severus, and my eyes roll back in my head. He points at me, and Severus nods, gesturing to me."Miss Flamel." He calls me over, and I send Remus a death glare. Severus must've noticed, cause he looks quickly at me. "Can you follow me, please?" Remus says gesturing to me, by waiting for me to walk out of the classroom. I don't really want to, if I'm being honest. Both Severus and Remus are looking at me. Sev looks concerned at me, while Remus just waits for me to start walking.
"Professor Lupin asked you a question, Miss Flamel," Severus suddenly says, and I look up at him. I think about what he's saying. He asked me. Which means I get to decide myself, what my response will be. It's nice of him to find a loophole, but I need to see if this is something that can be fixed with Remus.
I nod, stroking Sev's hand, discreetly while no one watches, and follow Remus to his office.
Remus sits down in his chair behind his desk, and waves me over. I'm still at the doorstep, just watching him. Slowly I start tracing around in his office. My eyes are glued to him, and every movement he makes.
"Talk." I demand, and he looks surprised at me. I may look like a teen, but on the inside I'm a strong independent woman, who you shouldn't underestimate. I know what I want, and what I deserve. He coughs, clearing his throat. I come closer to his desk, but decide to stand up instead of sit.
"I didn't mean to hurt your feelings." he says, looking up at me. I shake my head, and raise a brow at him. Waiting for him to continue.
"I just don't want you to get hurt. And there's a reason why it's called The Forbidden Forest. And why you shouldn't approach magical beasts..." He says, but I cut him off: "Creatures."
He frowns at first, but then lightens a bit up.
"I do not want to call them beasts. It's a negative loaded word, and it's just not right. Every magical creature is a miracle to exist, it's beautiful." I tell him. Like I said, he doesn't really know me. He looks down at the table surface and smiles for himself, as if I said something he hadn't heard before. He straightens up, and looks me in the eyes. He's got some kind of new energy, and it suits him. He stands up, and comes closer to me.
