Jaden- Charli, you're literally gonna burn the whole damn apartment building down. What are you doing?
Jaden rushed to grab her arm and stop the girl who was about to put leftovers in the microwave, still with tinfoil on the top.
Charli- oh crap... I wasn't paying attention
She sighed and set down the container as she sat down at the counter.
Jaden- stressed?
Charli- yea
Jaden- wanna talk about it?
Charli- It's just hate online. I know you'll say not to listen to it and that I'm great or whatever but that doesn't fix it. Dont bother with that kind of talk.
Jaden- Char... I know I'm not actually your dad, in reality I'm just your friends boyfriend who buys you a lot of coffee. But your dad isn't here, he's back in Connecticut. If you need anything I'm here, I do really care for you. You have my number, call or text me anytime ok?
Charli nodded and stood up to give him a hug.
Charli- you're not just my friends boyfriend by the way... you're my friend too at this point. You're like the older brother I never had, it's just more fun to call you my dad.
They both laughed a bit as Dixie came back from the bathroom and saw her little sister wipe a tear from her eye.
Jaden- alright, now since Charli almost burnt down the building by putting tinfoil in the microwave and nobody trusts Dixie in the kitchen... how about I make something for lunch?
Charli- just like the great dad you are
Charli beamed as Jaden let out a laugh and nodded.
Dixie- fuck off Hossler, nobody asked for your opinion on my cooking.
Jaden- I did cause I wanna eat something that's actually edible.
Dixie- choke on dick
