Her hair flowed behind her in the wind and her cloak was the deepest black he'd ever seen. She held a glowing sword.

San tried to move, but was unable to.

His mind was still racing.

He'd seen the creatures with its glowing red eyes.

The woman in the black cloak lowered her sword as she gazed at San with her bright green eyes.

"What is that thing?" San mumbled.

Ignoring him the woman readied her sword.

The creature screeched and dove towards her.

She had fought the creature toe to toe as San stood nearby watching in awe.

The girl thrusted her dagger towards it, sinking it deep within its chest. It screamed in agony, before falling to the ground.

The girl withdrew her sword from the creature. The girl turned away from the creature, but what she didn't notice was that the creature was not dead yet.

The red eyed monster launched itself at her.

"Look out!" San shouted. He rushed forward, pushing the girl out of the way.

San's vision blurred as the creature slashed his claws

With one sweep it sliced a deep gash across San's chest.

"No!" The woman screamed.

San's legs collapsed from under him and he dropped to the ground.

The girl raised her sword and dashed towards the creature plunging it into the creatures back

The creature let out one final screech before turning into dust.

The woman turned to face San with a pained look.

"You're hurt.... I can help you."

San tried to look at her but his vision was blurred due to the blood loss.

She conveyed no emotions in her eyes as she walked towards him.

Slowly she bent down and held her hand over his wound which was now emitting a light green glow.

San removed his hand from the wound in his chest as she healed him. The pain he was in seemed to fade away.

He looked down at the wound which now seemed to be completely closed.

He looked at the wound completely flabbergasted at what just happened.

San looked at the woman's eyes. Her eyes were beautiful. To him they looked like shining emeralds.

He was astonished by the women before him. Never in his life had he met someone so beautiful.

San was also very confused why someone with magic would be helping him; or why he had pushed her out of the way.

Especially with everything he was taught.

San was taken out of his thoughts when a voice spoke to him.

"Don't ever do that again." The girl finally spoke for the time.

"What do you mean?" He was confused as he tried to sit up.

"You should never risk your life for anyone, let alone someone like me." She stated, before standing up and walking away.

Before San could even ask her what she meant someone screamed from the doorway.

"GET OFF MY PROPERTY YOUR FILTHY WITCH!" She screeched while throwing rocks towards the girl.

"Wait, mother stop," He ran towards his mother and grabbed her arm to stop her from throwing more rocks. "She saved my life." San continued to beg his mother, but she didn't listen.
