Hyejin got back into the village, she was slightly soaked but she didn't care. She found the entrance to the dorms and she pulled her horse inside.
Still fuming about what had transferred earlier that day. First with her master, then with that babo (Idiot).
Who did he think he was? Trying to impose himself into her life.
She stormed back into the main corridor right past Seonghwa into her room.
"Hyejin. What's wrong?" Seonghwa said worriedly. She didn't answer, just slammed the door in his face.
He had never seen her this mad before. Using his mastery of shadows he transported himself in front of San..
His eyes glowing red with anger.
"What did you do to her?" He demanded the boy.
He grabbed the boy by the collar as Shadows shot out from around them, engulfing them till there was no light left but his glowing eyes. San was scared.
"Wha-what are you talking about" San said in a shaky voice.
"What did you do to make Hyejin so upset."He demands
"N-n-nothing," he stuttered again. 'I just told her I cared about her!" He continued.
"What?" Seonghwa's grip loosened enough for San to break free. The shadow around them dissipated.
"But she freaked out about it and ran off." San said.
Seonghwa wanted to tell the boy the truth but by oath and binding he couldn't.
A powerful pull took over him as he spoke.
"Feelings like that are for the weak." Seonghwa said with a deadpan expression.
"That's not true." San protested.
"True strength is obtained when protecting the people you care about. Surely you care for the people you protect." He continued.
"We are merely tools for the people. Regardless of these supposed feelings you speak of." Seonghwa said before turning to walk away.
"She said that before too." San said in a quiet voice, causing Seonghwa to stop in his pace.
"A tool. I don't believe that. She's so much more than that. I don't understand why she.. Or even you think like that." San stated glaring at the back of Seonghwa's head.
"She's right... you are a Babo" Seonghwa said as he turned slightly to look at the boy.
"You care for her too.. Otherwise why would you be so angry? She was upset, and that hurt you. That's why you came looking for me." San yells at him.
"She is a tool I must protect for my master." He replies before stepping into the shadows and disappearing.
A few months had gone by and San had followed Hyejin everywhere. To the point she got used to it and began to just try and ignore his presence.
Which lead them to where they were standing now,
Hyejin stood on top of the mountain that overlooked the flower meadow below.
San was a few feet to her right making sure not to get too close.
afraid she would tell him to leave again.
Glancing down towards the meadow he sees a small cottage.
Questioning as to why they were here.
Lost in his own thoughts, he didn't notice Hyejin had started to descend the mountain heading towards the cottage.
