*Nina's POV*

Luckily, once I returned home, Francis left me alone. The rest of the day, I tend to my princess duties, which are quite boring. Once I am finished with that, I jump into bed and am immediately met with sleep.

Suddenly, I am awaken by Francis bursting into my room, and the sun is barely over the horizon.
"I tried to wait and let you tell me on your own, but you know me. That's impossible," Francis scrambles. "Where were you yesterday?"
"I told you, I was in the garden," I reiterate.
"Bullshit you were!" she yells back at me, which causes me to jump. "I saw you walk through the gates."
Surprised, the only word I say the only thing that comes to mind, "Oh..."
"Yeah. Oh," she mocks.
"I guess you caught me," I say as I get out of bed.
"Are you gonna tell me where you really were?"
"Yes, but you have to promise this stays between the two of us."
"Nina, of course," she confirms.
"I was at the hotel in town."
"Why were you there?" Francis asks.
"I went to see someone," I pause, "I went to see Richard Bowen."
"Oh my god... did you two-"
"Yes," I say cutting her off.
"OH MY GOD!" she screams.
"Keep it down!" I scold.
"I thought you hated him?"
"Well, yeah, I did," I inform, "but things changed."
"How did this happen?"
I tell Francis the whole story, starting with the ball, and ending with yesterday afternoon. With each romantic moment, a squeal comes from my friend. I must say, it feels good to get this all off my chest. Little did I know, someone was standing outside my door the entire time.
