I take the wet cloth and dab it on to Rain's head. He was badly hurt but he claimed to be alright.

"I said you don't have to do this and you don't have to come with us as well... This is not your problem to fix." His horse voice fills my ears. I knew I didn't have to help but I had a feeling that something was about to change.

I didn't know if it would be me or my environment but something would change.

"You need help... You're the first person King let me save... That's not good."

Rain clenched his hand. I don't know if he knows what kind of situation his in. I have never seen something like this and I think it's one of the reasons I want to go with them. Am not sure if I can help but I want to see the change...

"This should be good for now... I suggest you rest a bit before going."

"Don't act like you care about me... I was hurt but I knew what was happening and I remember clearly that you were ready to kill me." His eyes look deep into mine. This is what happens when I don't kill them. They hold a grudge.

I step back, showing that I will no longer dig in their business. He leaves me, with no thanks. Am not surprised.

I leave the room and walk back to the store room. There I see someone I thought I wouldn't see, not after a long time.

"I thought you left..."

"Nah...I think I could be of use here." Tin leaned onto the frame. "Have anything interesting going on?"

"Not really... Am just gonna be watching."

"Mind if I join? I have some spear time."

I nod and pack a bag. We wait until Rain and his men leave. This time instead of three, he took 15 people. They didn't have any serious weapons... Just a few knives, most likely to scare their target.

"So what actually happened?" Tin took out an apple I packed and starts eating it.

"A supply run went wrong. Rain got kicked around by some guy named Nic..."

"By who?"

"Nic... They say his the new leader of the group. Tor is no longer around."

"So new leader... New rules."

"Seems like it... But King doesn't like it. He still wants to steal from them."

"So why not be down there helping?"

"Rain wants nothing to do with me."

"Oh... I see. You were gonna kill him."

"Yea... I honestly deserve a thanks cause I didn't kill him."

"But only because King wanted him alive."

I roll my eyes. I know my brother. I know King. Yes he decided to keep Rain alive but he won't keep him alive forever. At some point he will have him dead and I will likely be the one that does it.

I frown when I suddenly spot some movement at the Outpost. I hadn't seen the truck when it pulled up. About 5 men walked out. Three of them I recognized but the other two...  Were new faces to me. One of them must be Nic.

Tin throws the half eaten apple to the side to focus on what's happening.

From where we are seated, we can't hear anything so we depend on facial expressions and body language to tell us what was happening.
