CHAPTER TEN

"I didn't think I would see you for a while... What brings you back?" I asked Tin after my shock of seeing him subsided. Tin was one person I had no control over. He was the one man I wanted for myself. He would be the best second-hand but for some reason, he never planted any roots. I was always curious as to why that was but he never answered our questions... He would just come in twice a month then disappear until his next visit. So when I saw him in the kitchen I was nothing but surprised and I don't like surprises. Not even the good kinds... Because if something happens without your knowledge it will in some way be used against you. So I looked him in the eyes, waiting for him to tell me why he was still here.

"I don't have a better place to be. Plus, I have more friends here than anywhere else." He kept his brown eyes on mine as he spoke. Am really good at spotting bullshit but everything he said seemed to smell okay. I left him be but something was bugging me to my core. Maybe I needed to play around a bit... That's what it is. I know exactly who to play with. 

"Brother. Are you still in here? Wow..." I watched Kengkla get up from the chair he sat in. From the looks of it, he stayed in here all night. "You should take a break kid...I can take over from here."

Kengkla looked like he was having an internal disagreement with himself but he didn't open his mouth. "You look like you need to take a shit... Come on, am being generous right now. Go take a long ass shit."

The fox only looked at me with a glare. His skin was now covered with black-like blue bruises from the first day he came in here. I felt bad for his skin. Such a smooth and silky material to be abused like that. What a pity. My brother still stood in front of me which I reacted in amusement. "Go on..." 

He finally moved and walked towards the door, closing it behind himself. I direct my attention to the fox. His arms are still tied up the same way they were when I left yesterday. I take a few steps towards him and bend down in front of him. He looks away as if am some hideous beast. I pull his face back to me and smile, showing him my peal white teeth. 

"Am not gonna hurt you, Am actually here to do the opposite. All you have to do is be obedient... Do as I tell you and I promise, your lovely skin won't be damaged further."

His eyes radiated hate but he still nodded to my orders. I untied him and helped him stand. While holding his hand I took him to a different room. This was a room I used when I had 'special' guests. He looked around for a bit confused.  "Come here..." I motion to him to follow me into the bathroom. 

"Take your clothes off..." He takes a step back after hearing my words. I pull a smile. "Stop with your evil thoughts... Your dirty so I during you to take a bath... or you don't mind milling in your own sweat for 3 days?" He turned around and looked at the tub filled with warm water. He looks back at me with a questioning glare. "Don't mind me... Just take your clothes off and wash up... I'll just stand here and watch."

× Technic ×

"I already checked that area Nic... you need to calm down." Good walked into Technic's room that over a few days became an uninhabitable cave. Good took soft steps towards the male that hadn't sleep for the last 3 nights.

"I just need to make sure... His house could be anywhere..." Technic kept his eyes on the map. On it was a big circle around the outpost the had done previous delivers. Good watched with a sympathetic gaze. "I think it's time..."

"I said I would take care of this didn't I?"

"Yes but... I think it would be better if your uncle knew...He may know where to look."

Technic rubbed at the bridge of his nose. The headache he was trying to ignore was beginning to aggressively grow. He stood up from the chair he called his bed for the past 3 nights. "I got him into this...I should be the one that saves him..."

"You don't have to be Nic... Don't be afraid to get help... This will be better for you and Techno. The more help we get, the better chance of finding him."

Technic turned his head back on the detective-like table. He looked at Good who had the whole time made sure to check up on him. "If you say so... I'll tell him tonight..."

He couldn't help but wonder what his brother was going through. He just hoped that he was alright. Technic couldn't help but blame himself for the whole ordeal.
