The robotic noise burst in your ears. Ugh.  People say that another day is a path to another start, but not for you: school still sucks and today isn't going to be any different than any other day of the week. You reached over to your bedside and shut it. After reminiscing about the fact that you have school today, you got up from the bed and as soon as your feet hit the cold floor, you reached over to your bedside table and pulled out some socks from the drawer.

Soon, you had exited the bathroom and finished getting ready. Deciding on a black crop top and blue denim jeans. You grabbed your already packed bag and headed downstairs. Deciding to skip breakfast because you're late, again, you headed out the door and ran towards your school. As you were running, you saw Spider-man swinging across buildings and screaming "Good morning" to this old lady he had just saved from muggers. You slightly smiled.  As soon as you reached the school hallway, the first bell went off, signalling the start of class.

When you entered your first class, maths, you groaned as you saw what the teacher had written on the board. "Algebra" it had said in big, bold letters.
"Alright class, good morning, please take out your notebooks and copy what I write on the board," Mr Brown, your maths teacher said. Just as he started writing, somebody came hustling through the door.

"Sorry, Mr Brown, I'm late. There was a lot of....traffic this morning," Peter Parker said as came in and took his seat behind you. You slightly smirked. Meet Peter Parker, the most interesting thing about your day.  You turned your head to look at him as he was taking out his books from his bag,

"Parker you walk to school. What do you mean traffic?" you questioned.

"Huh? Oh yeah, I took the...bus today," he answered, nervously. No, he wasn't just nervous because you recognised his lie. He secretly liked you but was too afraid to say anything. You two were polar opposites, you being loud and as loose as a cannon, him on the other hand, quiet and shy.

You eyed him up and down and turned back to your paper which looked like complete gibberish to you. You frowned down at your paper and groaned in frustration. Peter saw that and asked you, "Need help, Y/n?"

"Sure."

Peter helped you throughout maths class and soon the bell rang again, signalling the end of the first period. You practically had to drag yourself to every class for the rest of the day. It's not like the school was actually teaching something, other than how to pass exams and how to get good grades. You constantly asked yourself what exactly were they teaching you?

The only good thing about school was a few people, including Peter Parker. Whom you secretly liked. You were honestly confused about how girls are not fanning over him, or maybe they are and you're just too blind to see. Who knows?

Homecoming was coming up actually, and you definitely wanted to ask Peter and if he said yes, then hell yeah, a few more things about school that wouldn't suck so much. You planned on asking him near the lockers after-school. You did plan. But that plan was soon destroyed after the sports teacher gave you detention for consistently running slow during the track, even after being reminded. But then again, nobody likes the track.

As you were heading to detention, Peter came up next to you.

"Hey, Y/n!" you heard. You looked over your shoulder to see Peter running after you.

"What's up, Parker?" you asked, as he casually slid next to you.

"So, you know how we're good friends rights?" he asked.
