06: Sons only take after their Fathers' negative attributes part 1.
"YOU really love going to festivals huh?"
Turning her head to the side with a wide grin etched on her lips, Yume nodded her head enthusiastically at him. "Yeah, I do!" she replied, her gaze then traveling back towards the scenery in front of them after. A melancholic look clouding her face as she watched the people enjoying the festival walk past by them. "You see my dad and I..." she paused, letting out a low chuckle "..and my so-called nii-nii used to visit one a lot before."
"The three of us...we are always competing against each other to see who would get a first three wins on the games available there. And then..."
Yume felt a hand gently patting the top of her head, snapping her out from her reminiscence, and making her turn to her side again to which, this time, she was met with worried yet mesmerizing green eyes—leaving her awestruck once again. "I'm sorry Yume. I didn't mean to bring up some memories from your past so please don't cry." The boy uttered to which Yume couldn't help but furrow her brows.
Just as she was about to ask what he meant by that, the boy gently cupped her face in between his palms—wiping some tears that has unknowingly escaped her eyes with his thumb, making her eyes grow slightly wide and mouth slightly agape.
Seeing the shocked look on her face, the dark purple-haired boy couldn't help but to let out a chuckle before pressing his forehead against hers. A glint of warmth, affection, and determination lacing his eyes as he gazed against her dark amethyst ones. "From now on, I promise that you and I will attend every nearby festival there is so stop being sad now okay, Yume?" the boy declared softly before giving her cheeks a slight pinch.

With a familiar wet sandpapery sensation repeatedly caressing her cheeks—combined with the sudden pang of dizziness hitting her, Yume was left with no choice but to wake up from her dream. The sight of her cute white kitten sitting at the free space beside her head—looking down at her with its cute blue-yellow eyes, greeting her and leaving her at deep awe. The budding longing inside her heart and wave of dizziness temporarily forgotten.
"Good morning, Shiro-kun. Did I make you wait that long?" she chuckled lowly as she gently pet him near his neck to which the cat in turn purred seconds after before moving to rub its face against her cheeks. Its soft fluffy fur tickling her.
When its soft fluffy paw made contact against her cheeks, Yume felt as if she suddenly ascended to the heavens. Her hand automatically moving to clutch her chest, only to find something round and fluffy and...heavy resting atop it.
From an awed stricken one, Yume's face instantly changed into a horrified stricken one. Her eyes carefully glancing towards the direction of the in-between of her chest. A low groan escaping her lips after at the sight of Gintoki's head resting comfortably on it.
Great. Just what the heck did I just got myself into this time?
As if answering her question, memories of what has gone the previous night flowed inside her head like a dam—to which she turned pale and face-palmed.
Yume wasn't a drinker. But ever since her reunion with the stupid perm head last week, she found herself drinking almost every day. Which is something she doesn't want to get used to.
