05: Drinking alone when you're bad at handling your alcohol is not a good idea because the next morning you might wake up in a different place.
THE night is already deep. Shining proudly against the dark starry night, casting its gentle yet pale silvery glow, was the moon that a certain chocolate brown-haired woman loved gazing at. To put it simply in other words, it is at nights like this that the chocolate brown-haired woman would always find herself sitting at the porch outside of her old place, with a cup of sake in hand, gazing at the beautiful full moon while reminiscing about the past, as she drink herself alone to oblivion.
Well, that's how it would originally have been if only she didn't got herself drunk already.
With her left hand pressed against an electric post— her head hanging low, Yume threw out whatever was inside her guts. The retching sounds she's producing being the only noise that could be heard on one of the sleeping streets of Kabuki District to where her present home is. Letting out an annoyed groan as she wiped her mouth with a handkerchief after—only to have her head hanging low again as another batch made its way up towards her mouth. Ah, this is a pain. She spatted mentally. A series of curses flying inside her head.
Upon feeling that her retching has finally subsided, the chocolate brown-haired woman groggily fumbled at her pouch for the small container of her ticc tacc mint flavored candy that she always brings. Clumsily opening it and pouring a small single white oval pill-like shaped candy against her palm before tossing it to her mouth. Its sweet cool flavor spreading into her tongue seconds after, giving her that cool breeze feel that instantly calmed her nerves and somehow cleared her foggy mind. Thus, making her remember the very main reason why she ended up drinking again.
Yume slammed her palms against the table. Her cheeks painted red. "I WHAT!?"
Yui let out an exasperated sigh. Propping an arm against the table and resting her cheeks against the palm of her hand, the apple green-eyed woman looked at Yume with a tired expression. "Could you please calm down Yume-chan? You're starting to catch other people's attention you know." She said, making the chocolate brown-haired woman turn redder than she already is upon realizing the ruckus she is causing and hurriedly plopping herself back to her seat. "But yeah, just as I was saying. You were clinging to that man like a leech last night while giggling and saying things like 'kyaaahhh Gin-chan I missed you so so much especially your fluffy hair!~', that it's been a really long while and that 'Gin-chan still looks adorable after all this years'. And oh, you were even rubbing your cheeks against his by that time by the way while the poor man tries to remove your arms around his neck, asking you to let him go, but in the end just gave up because you started crying—wait scratch that, you started wailing and saying things like 'no I won't let you go ever again!' ." Yui narrated while acting some parts of it.
Yume buried her face in between her folded arms, that is resting itself against the table, out of embarrassment and let out a very muffled scream. How is she supposed to look at Gintoki now without getting embarrassed!? And out of all people, why with Gintoki!? She would rather say those stuffs towards Katsura, Sugi or Tatsuma since she is in a lot more good terms with them but damn her and her drunken state! She ended up acting like that with Gintoki! And worst of all she even sounded as if she was his ex-lover at some sort base on Yui's last statement! But aside from those... "Say Y-Yui-chan. So umm, w-was it you and Gintoki who brought me home?" she asked, raising her head a bit to meet her friend's eyes which is looking at her boredly, "I mean, I'm pretty sure that since you know, turns out yesterday was the official first time Gintoki and I met after years...I super doubt that he knows where I live so you probably helped him bring me home right? I didn't do any other embarrassing things on our way back to my place right??"
