The Gotham Princess [Daminette] ON HIATUS

[Third Person's POV]

"Mari-Bug?, it's time to wake up" Chloe said, gently shaking Marinette. No response... she waited two more minutes until Marinette finally moves and sat down in the bed. Messy hair? check. Messy clothes? check. Still sleepy? check.

"Oh Chlo', is there a problem?" Marinette asked as she fully recover her energy. Chloe just smile. "Nothing Mari-Bug, there's no problem... But I believe that you need to give us a FULL detail on why are you angry the day before yesterday and the details about your date" Marinette didn't hesitate to answer. "Of course, just let me fix myself and you gather the others at the living room" she said. Their dorm/hotel is at the same floor, just for them. 5 rooms for each of them, 3 bathroom, 2 living room, 2 kitchen, a dining room and training room.

Chloe went outside and do what she needed to do. While Marinette fix herself to look presentable at her friends. She went to the living room as she saw all her friends in the living room either chatting or eating.

"You look very beautiful Mari-Bug!" Chloe compliment her friend. Marinette receive various compliments from her friends. Marinette's hair is in a messy high ponytail. In her upper part of the body, she is wearing a red shirt with the words "I'm Alive", also wearing a crop top black leather jacket. With her lower part of the body, she is wearing a black skirt above the knees with a pair of cat high socks... wearing a high heel boots.

Marinette smiles warmly at her friends. "Thanks!" she said as she went to take a sit at the couch between Chloe and Kagami. "About what happen this past few days..." she started. "We've been meaning asked you since you've arrive but you look tired, we just agree to asked you today. What really happened? Why are you angry?" Kagami said to Marinette. "Also the details about the date Melody" Luka added.

"About the date, we just met after I went to a cafe. Since he invite me as a friend, I agree. To have fun and calm my nerves. We went for some rides and games. Some of the item are from him and some are mine which I remember I left at the table since I'm too tired to place them to a perfect spot. Then we went home" Marinette explain. Silence filled the room... " That's it" "Just a friend" "Friendly Date?" "Nothing more?" Various question was thrown at her (Poor Marinette T-T).

"Yes, Yes, Yes and there's more. I can call him Dami as he call me by my name" Marinette answer and added. "At least there's some improvement" Chloe whispers. "What? did you say something?" Marinette asked Chloe as shakes her head left to right. "Umm... what about on why are you angry?" Luka asked.

Marinette took a deep breath before saying "Remember when I told you that I'm leaving to meet them?" They nodded. "After meeting them, I was on my way home when I got in trouble". "Trouble?!?" They exclaimed. "Shhh, anyways. I was just teaching him a lesson when I began to hallucinate. I begun to imagine the one that I was fighting is Lila so Marionette began to take control" Marinette finished. "Marionette? I guess you really angry huh?" Chloe said as Marinette nodded at Chloe's words.

The rest are confuse, who's Marionette? They knew about Marinette's connection to the villains or in Gotham but they don't know who's Marionette. "Dudette? Who's Marionette?" Nino asked. Marinette becomes nervous, she suddenly hesitate. What if they leave me when they know my deepest secret?.... NO NO... You mustn't think like that Marinette! They're your friends, You got to trust them.

Chloe, noticing Marinette's hesitation, grab her hands. It caught Marinette's attention, she look directly at Chloe's eyes. It seems like it's telling her to calm down and trust your friends. Some moments later, she finally calm down, took a deep breath and look at her friends who is waiting for an answer.

"Marionette is like my other half, in short I have a split personality. Marionette is like a whole new person who could take control when I become super angry. She is built by all the sadness and anger that I hide behind the fakes smile since I was little. Aunty Quinn, Uncle J and the rest of the villains help me to control her which takes many years to finally control her" Marinette explain. The others took all the information and began to process it.

"Mari-Hime, if you control her already then why did you lose control over her?" Kagami asked. Marinette began to think. Kagami have a point, why did she suddenly lose control over her? Is it because her hatred towards Lie-la cannot be measured? If so then there's a high possibility that Marinette will end Lie-la's life.

"That's because Mari-bug's anger towards Lie-la cannot be measured. There no specific term to describe her anger towards Lie-la" Chloe answered. She's right though. "And if I lose all my control over her, there's a possibility that she can go out and be a human and if that happens... There is a really HIGH possibility that she will kill Lie-la" Marinette said. Several gaps can be heard, Chloe didn't know about that. She only thinks that Marionette is just a personality of Marinette.

"That-" "Absurd? no it's all true" Marinette cut Kagami's words. "I'm a monster aren't I? I was supposed to be a hero who's saving people not a killer" Tears began to fall from Marinette's eyes. Monster, that's right. That is the perfect term to call Marinette.

Silence filled the living room, they can't find the right words to say. "I- Melody... Don't call yourself a monster. You are kind, generous and the caring type, the Marinette that we all knew and love. It doesn't change the fact that you are the same Marinette we knew back then and now. We just have to be careful and help you control her" Luka said, sincerity and concern can be heard to his voice. "He's right Dudette, we'll be here for you" Nino added. "We'll help you Mari-Hime, we'll never leave your side" Kagami added. "Friends stays together. No matter how big the storm if we are all together, we will pass any challenge that comes in our way" Chloe finished.

Marinette look at her friends, shock and tears can be seen to her face. Suddenly, she smiles... A real smiles. Marinette feels like she was pull into the light from the very dark room that she was put in for a long time now. It feels like she is free to do anything now, with her friends by her side she will know and feel the true meaning of freedom.

Chloe:

Kagami:

Luka:

"Thanks guys, I'm glad I met you all" Marinette said, at this point all of them are crying. "Us too" They replied. "We love you!" They said pulling Marinette to a hug. "I love you guys too!"
